the one here sucks..if the items are in date they are not marked down much but the ones out of date are..
I've come to the following conclusions when it comes to the clearance bin:
- Never bring a DH-- they add more to the cart because it's cheap LOL! "OOH!! That looks really nifty! Let's get one of those, it's only $2!"
- Nothing is ever the same from store to store, unless some product just got discontinued.
- Some stores have clearance areas, and some don't. It's really disappointing too because it makes life a lot easier.
- Clearance bins in my area never seem to get cleaned out. Why? Seriously, who wants last year's 4th of July Peeps? LOL
- Some stores put new stuff in every day, and some are like #4
Thankfully, most of my Krogers in the Central Illinois seem to get updated fairly frequently with new items. My favorite find of this week was the last 3 bottles of Down Free & Clear 90 load for $2.98... $2.98!I've never used Downy Free & Clear, but we do use Ultra Downy Pleasures and I've never gotten a bottle that cheap-- even the little ones! I guess I'm just curious as to how your clearance bins are and what you best find has been recently!

Consider couponing for your local shelter: $30.00 OOP has gotten them 41 body washes, 30 deodorants, and a whole lot of toothpaste and toothbrushes to date!

The queen of April Fools was here.
Ours had a big table full of paper Napkins that were .39 .59, and .79 a pkg. (Kroger brand)

Hmmm, we actually have a "Room" in the one I frequent the most. This one store used to have a garden center, now a small section of that is for clearance, and the rest seems to be used as storage for pallets of items.
Typically this store has everything 50% off, sometimes more but it takes them a while and items will sit there a long time. Right now they have a couple diff. body washes for $1.29-$1.39 and there's no Q's out for them right now! UGH!
My best finds have been diapers and formula. I've purchased the huge bonus cans of good start for $12 and used a $11 formula check on them. And once they had a whole table of diapers (huggies, pampers, Kroger), sadly I had no need for them at the time but I did get a couple packs for a friend to take to a shower. LOL This was a long time ago, back when you could still use loadables with paper Q's (and when huggies e-Q's were still out!)
