Kroger (Central): doubles discontinuing ONLY in Houston, TX area

Thank you for contacting The Kroger Co. regarding the discontinuing of the double coupons. Unfortunately this is in fact the case for the Houston stores. I have passed your comments and concerns along to our division office for further review, and should you need any further assistance please let me know. Thank you again.

**Effective April 13th 2011, the Houston area stores listed below will no longer double/triple coupons. The reason for discontinuing this program is because we absorb the cost of doubling and tripling-not the manufacturers- and it's a sizeable expense each month **

thanks for double checking on this.

i did read another post on about this and they said that houston, tx is one of the biggest sales areas for kroger and this is almost a test area for them.
