Kroger (Central) ~ Question: Kroger New Double Coupon Policy?

I was at the Carmel Kroger last week and saw a sign posted on the register that says they will now only double the first 2 identical coupons.

Anyone else notice that? Is this a specific store policy or statewide policy? I've loved Kroger because they were so coupon friendly! Guess that is changing...

They do that here already. They used to let us use three like ones. For example .50 cents off item X you could use three and get 1 dolllar off. Now they will only double the first one. Such a bummer. Just means you have to do seperate transactions.

I am in Texas too...I still thought it was 3 like coupons...is it only 1?

I haven't been to Kroger since Sunday but I'll check next time I go. (I'm in Central, Peoria, IL area.)
My experience has always been unlimited doubles at stores in my area, so BOOOO on Kroger for this. I will definitely be writing them about this once I get more information. That's such an inconvenience to the customer, especially those who have to travel 15-20 minutes to GET to Kroger. I shop there more than the little grocery store 2 blocks from my house because of Kroger's sales & coupon deals.

What did the notice say exactly? Only 2 coupons doubled per transaction? Per day? Per customer?

I had a horrible day at Kroger with there new coupon policy. Does anyone know if this policy is online anywhere?????

I called corporate the policy is not online anywhere.

This is from memory because they would not give me a copy of it at my store, so dont quote me.

If the coupon is under 50 cent the store will double the coupon, you are only allowed to use two of the same coupons. The policy it doesn't say if it is for per a person, visit, or transaction. I was told it was per card.

It says all other coupons will be at face value. Which in my instance was not the truth. So, good luck.

It's been that way at my local store all along, so no big hit to me.

I am envious of everyone who can do multiples in one trip
rather than go every day for 2 of one item - which is what I have to do

Northern Indiana has been only 2 alike coupons for long time .

Thanks Lady Margaret! That Kroger is a favorite of ours since they would double more than two of the same coupon. If they change now, won't be worth the drive at all! Please let us know!
