How does doubling work during these event sales? For example: I want to purchase annie's mac/cheese that will be $0.49 WYB 8 but have $0.50 q's. Does the register recognize the full amount or the discounted amount? Will it double if I have other items to absorb the doubles q? Thanks!

in the past, they have doubled up to the before mega sale (ie before mega is $.99..coupon should double to $.99)

Does anyone know if the purina cat food will be included in the 2nd week of the sale? I seem to remember that some items change the 2nd week of mega sales,,,,,,,,,? My store changes on Thursday so I am trying to decide if I need to stop after work tomorrow or if I am safe to wait till Thursday. Anyone know for sure?

FYI, At the Defiance Oh store today there was one kind of huggies wipes in the tub that was on close out for $1.58. With the Huggies wipes coupon from the inserts in the paper it brings the price down to .58 each after coupon.

Kiwi shoestrings were marked $.99 on the shelf but rang up at $1.09. After the $1 off any kiwi product coupon that came in a redplum insert it made it .09 each for shoestrings. It may be free if you can get them to give you the price marked on the shelf.

ICBINB was on sale for .98. If you had any stray coupons from the last sale like me then you can get it for free at this sale.

Snicker bars at the checkout were 2/$1.00 which made them free after coupon.

fresh Tyson boneless skinless chicken breast was on sale for $1.87 a pound.

so i went to kroger yesterday to do the poweraid march madness and the tags were 1.09 each and when i asked they said that went off last week. does anyone know since this states it goes on til april 1st

If you still have last weeks ad that says that the prices for the mega event were good until april 1st, I would show them the ad and ask them to honor the price in the ad. Also there have been lists in the store telling what the participating items that are included in the mega sale if you can find a list in the store I would show them that and ask them to honor the mega sale price. The worst thing they could say would be "no."

I saw a couple more deals today while in the store that are good thru tomorrow. Speed stick deodorants are free after the mega sale discount and the coupons that came out in last Sundays smart source inserts.

Carnation evaporated milk was not a part of the mega event items but was on sale for $1.19 a can and there are .50/1 insert coupons out there that expire 3/31/10. This brings the price down to .19 a can.
