Re: Question on coupon wording I would suggest asking for a manager to override the coupon or enter it as a "vendor coupon" if this happens again. You did pay for the cookie mix, you just used a coupon to pay for part of it. The egg coupon should be ascribed to the eggs, even if it won't literally "attach" to it. Any manager worth his/her salt should be able to clearly understand the coupon and force the register to cooperate = some kind of coupon override.
