No More Internet "Free" coupons at Kroger

FYI, while checking out at my store (Washington, IL) this morning, the cashier informed me that they rec'd a memo saying Kroger would no longer accept Internet coupons for Free products.
I wasn't surprised really since this is standard policy for Schnucks grocery stores, I figured others wouldn't be too far behind them.

What's funny is that I just used two legit Free coupons at the same Kroger last night (the DiGorno flat bread pizza thingie and the Chiquita Bites ones) and no one said anything to me about them.

*mild rant to self about the few stupid people out there who make fraudulent coupons*

I never knew that any stores took internet free coupons .

I've never had any problems with them with coupons before. Hopefully this doesn't mean that they will start to be a PITA about them. I'm actually getting ready to head to that store today. Are there any mega sale items that they were (or are now, lol) out of?

that is probably why my cashier today at the one on wisconsin ave said "oh" and paused to look at the chiquita bites one....i told her "they are just $1/1"...then she scanned and was fine with it

schnucks is the same way...they can not take a free or a bogo free ip coupon.

Ok went to my usual Kroger's with the Chiquita bites and all my other coupons .The cashier scanned them all with out a reply .So not a problem for me ,for which I am happy about .
(I usually use the Bogo coupons at Walmart)
