Default INDY Kroger store coupon policy???

I have been to several kroger stores and have never been denied using multiple coupons (like if I have 3 green beans, I use 3 coupons, etc.)

This week, two of the kroger stores in Indy have told me that there is a 2 limit coupon on identical coupons.

I questioned them because I thought it was 2 limit for identical coupons if for doubling bonus, and the rest would be redeemed at face value.

Can someone help me because it was sort of frustrating when I had three coupons that I was using (all of the same ones)?

Thanks

I live in Indy too and was told the same thing. They let me ring up four of the same coupon once (since I was unaware of the policy), but said they couldn't do it anymore. They said they won't even let the employees do it. I haven't had that many coupons of the same item again since, but if it happens again, I'm going to just use 2, take them out to my car and come back and use the next 2, etc. or maybe go through the self checkout and do two separate orders. There has to be a way to get around this 2-coupon limit policy.

That's how it's suppose to be... maybe try calling their corporate customer service.

Madison and Edgewood sucks...I argued with them to no ends and even pointed to the sign they used to have at the self check out that said 2 would double, additional coupons would be redeemed at face value. Gal who came down from the office or service desk or wherever wouldn't have none of it and just kept saying "We don't do that"....really, what does that sign say????? She pretty much said I don't care, we don't do that....whatever!

I wondered what "additional coupons would be redeemed at face value" meant to the mgr. cashier last night. Apparently not the same thing I thought. I asked to see the policy and she couldn't find it, just kept claiming that they get "wrote up" for taking more than 2 identical coupons.

Thanks for everyone's responses.

On the westside of Indy I have used 8 non doubling alike coupons, but I have been informed that they will only double two alike coupons and the rest will be redeemed at face value. Meijer is the same.

Yes that is the "official Policy" and now some stores might be enforcing. They say it is to leave enough for all customers. Sorry what a pain. Maybe you could use at different times, but I know time is money and with the gas prices etc might be hard. :(

Last week I dealt with this. I had 12 identical coupons and 12 items. I was told that I am not allowed to use 12. I had just done the same thing a few days before with a different cashier. Anyway, she said she would only do two and I would have to pay full price for the rest. I told her to cancel the order then. With a line behind me I proceeded to divide it up into 6 transactions. Then by a miracle, she could suddenly use 12 coupons. The register just all of a sudden decided to work with my coupons. Hmmm. I thought it was rather funny. The people behind me though weren't happy, but I really don't care. I wanted my groceries. With all of my son's medical bills coming in now, I can't afford to pay full price for anything.
I think that the cashier's everywhere now are just kinda making it up as they go. I can go in two times in one day and there will be two different coupon policies. My new thing, if I know something will work, I tell the cashier to scan the coupons and try it. If it wasn't right, it wouldn't work right? The only 2 like coupons is bull though. At least at my store.

when I first moved to IN, back in July i asked the manager of Krogers their policy and it was very clear from several stores in the IN Greenwood area, from my understanding and from what i believe you can read off their coupon policy, the policy does state two like coupons, however the computer system they have will allow you to double as many as you have, however the limit is tech two. Now I also have been told from several stores that they will pretty much take as many as I have, but with in reason. That if they knowthere is a good deal on a certain product, to make sure they have plenty for everyone,t hey will limit you on how many you can double. And of course if you hand them a pile of 15 coupons exactly the same,I am pretty sure you can expect them not to double them all. I can see getting away with 4-5 but 15 might be al ittle much. I normally stick to two like items, if its a great sale item i just go back to my car, drop off my order and go back for the second order, I have not had any problems yet. Sometimes if the ad is super, Iwill make my DH go in and do a order for me. We live out of town, go to town to do sale shopping twice a week if we are lucky, so we like to get the most out of our 30minute drive to the grocery store, we spend 1hour just getting to and from the store, so we try and do a few things and hit a few stores eg cvs, krogers marsh while in town, then we dont bother for a few days. Got to make our gas count right. Anyway rambling now,but my point is, if it does become a problem and they enforce the two like coupons at your store, just do several trips to the car :)
