 Re: Kroger Mega Totals :) Woo Hoo Great sale
I made 43 orders in the two weeks of the sale and I missed half of the sale due to being out of town because of an illness in the family - I have 5 stores close by home and work. I never did more than 2 orders at once. My total is 1290 items and I think I about broke even (zero cost, not including tax). 90%of my items were free or overage items. The overage went toward other items I needed that weren't free (sugar, jelly, Clorox wipes, goldfish, etc.) or other store items that never have coupons (dried beans, etc.). I always tried to balance out my orders so they were as close to free as possible. I discovered about half-way through that you could use overage items to pay for tax also so many of my later orders were like 17 cents, 32 cents, etc.  I have never seen a sale like this in all my years of couponing. I have bags everywhere - my van, my garage, my basement, my refrigerator is totally stuffed and I have a plug-in cooler full of rolls and biscuits. I still have a few raincheck items to get but I'm not in any big hurry on those.  What do you think the chances are that they'll do another similar sale again sometime? Let's keep our fingers crossed. |
