It doesn't matter what you give first, the $ off coupons like KC will be applied first and the % off coupons is applied to whatever balance is left after KCs are subtracted.

I am kind of new to the whole Kohl's thing. I bought a Keurig for my dad from my brother and I last week and got $30 Kohl's cash. Yesterday I went to the store to buy some things using the Kohl's cash. I also had a 20% off everything coupon. So when I went to the register she applied the Kohl's cash first and then the 20% off coupon. So essentially the coupon only took off about 12% since she applied it after the Kohl's cash and it is a total basket coupon (it takes the total and removes 20%). On the one hand, I feel blessed to have had the coupon. On the other hand, I feel a little concerned that maybe she did it in the wrong order and I received less of a discount than I was due. Can you tell me if this is normal (the order of applying the coupons)? Thank you so much!!

Yep. Unfortunately, that is how it works. :( I had a 30% a few weeks ago and had everything calculated to come out to just about nothing after my coupon and Kohl's Cash, but it ended up being about 15.00.
btw, same rule applies to online transactions also.
