    Thumbs Down Copying Kohl's Coupons

I went to Kohl's tonight with DD and had Discover card coupons for $10 off of a $10 purchase. I was treated like a criminal. Okay I am "over exaggerating" just a little, but she was really rude. She said she "had to call the manager about my coupons" and asked "did you copy these?." My coupons were determined to be legit, but the cashier scrutinized each one and gave me evil eyes each time. My DD said "boy that lady doesn't like people with coupons." Anyway, apparently, because the bar code is the same on all the coupons, people have been color copying them and actually getting by using them until now. People on another coupon site have even been suggesting this be done. It is sad that good couponers have to suffer for the bad.

I agree. When I started couponing, it was a blast. I looked forward to going out and proudly couponed. Nowdays, it's really nothing I look forward to anymore. Yes, I'm still addicted to it but the joy is gone with all the scrutinizing and empty shelves. And now the empty papers with no inserts because some wonderful person in our town is taking them all out of the papers. Just not a lot of fun anymore.:sad: Not to mention low coupons and no doubles. Ok....rant over.
I'd appreciate your prayers during a very hard transition in my life. TYVVM

I don't mind your rant. I get it. Another thing I cannot stand is when restaurants put out a BOGO coupon and then get visabily angry with you when you try to use it. I think why did you put it out there in the first place. I had that happen a lot with the Entertainment Book. One restaurant told me they quit taking their coupon because "too many people responded to the offer." So basically they pulled a "bait and switch." They get you in there with the coupon and then want full price. My sister was so mad once when this happened that she refused to pay for the teas we ordered and the guy said we will call the police. She said go ahead let's see what they think of you. Needless to say we were able to leave.

That sounds like the KFC grilled chicken fiasco. They put out too many coupons for the free piece and had to not honor them and tell the customers they would get a free piece at a later date.

I agree, I used to have fun & get high off couponing & matchups LOL. Now, we've created monsters who take all the tearpads, peelies, blinkies, etc. as though they were currency & hold them for trades or purchase! It kills the spirit the coupons were put out in. Ok, my rant's over too.

i think i saw those coupons on ebay a few weeks ago. I figured that someone must have been copying them and they were too go to be true, so i left them alone. there were no pictures of the kohl's/discover coupons on ebay, so that made me very suspicious of them.
