I'm pretty sure that with BOGO, each item rings up as 50% off on your reciept, providing you did purchase 2 items.

EDIT: Title should be B1G1...sorry!
How does the Kohl's B1G1 sale work? I got a gift card for my b-day and I'd like to get some maternity clothes and maybe some bras. Would I be better off making several separate purchases? My thinking is say I get jeans that are $40, a bra that's $30 and two shirts that are $35 each, would they take off both bras since those are the lowest price items, instead of taking off one of the bras and one shirt. Do you see what I'm saying? I'm just not sure if the register dictates what is the free item.

Oh, that's great! Thanks!!
Just came back and I handed them in the order that I wanted the second one free or what should be free since it's either equal or lesser than the first and it all worked out. The first one for the B1G1 does ring up full price and then the second one rings up free. Just glad it worked out!
