I happened to be in the store yesterday to use the $5 e-mail coupon and stumbled across racks of 90% clearance in basically most departments. Saw women's, juniors, kids, toddlers, intimate apparel and accessories. They had other racks marked down 60, 70, and 80 percent. I asked the cashier if the blowout was chain-wide and she did not know, but said they were trying to give the final push to clearance merchandise so they could get in new merchandise. If the stuff does not sell, they will be sending it back to the factory.
FYI - This is still going on. At least at my store. I got a tons of stuff for 90% off - juniors clothes, boys hooded sweatshirts, ladies clothes, Daisy Fuentes handbags, shoes, etc. I went yesterday and got $10 GC for spending over $50. I was able to use it today to get more stuff.
I went yesterday and got alot of great deals. Gold chain belts for 2.?? that are normally 22.??. Vera Wang belts for 5.?? normally 28.?? Shirts for 5.?? It was an awesome clearance.
I hate that they send stuff back. I once found an amazing shirt, went to buy it, and the gal told me that the computer already had it marked to send back so she would NOT sell it to me. Nowadays, I'd stand up for myself and get a manager, but back then I was just at a loss for words. lol
Just a head's up that my store had a rack of infant shorts and sun suits for 90% off. Prices range from $1-$2.xx and included items from Carter's, Osh Kosh and Jumping Bean. Didn't have much time, as I had an appointment to go to. I'm going to try and go back tomorrow to check out the other departments. HTH
At my Kohls the clerance racks were a mix of 60,70,80,and 90 percent off Yelow tickets. It took a while to scope the 80and 90 percent off deals but it was worth every minute. Got some Union Bay shorts (80%) and Carter shirts (90%) for my little ones for next year and surprise surprise...found a top for myself to wear at the Kindergaten Parents night, tonight ( I know,I know any excuse to buy a new top even if it was 70% off )

My husband and I got $1007.91 worth of stuff and paid $223.10. That includes 3 pair of Nike tennis shoes for Christmas gifts and they were $39.99 each. Most of it was clothes for him, he golfs. $52.00 shirts for $5.60 and $44.00 shorts for $4.80 in that range...dont remember each exact one. We both had a coupon from or emails so we made two purchases!!! That is about 90% off less the shoes!! In the teen department they had Tshirts that had be $24.00 for $1.80.
