For those who are getting ready to prepare for your Black Friday shopping, I wanted to come in here and mention a reminder about KMart....

As a competitive effort....

In some past years (not all, but some), KMart has offered to hand out Gift Cards (of random amounts varying between $5 to $100) to the first 100 customers who come through the doors on Black Friday.

One year, I got a $20.00 gift card for being one of the first 100.

So, every year, I always check KMart's offers...and be sure that I read any/all fine print - to see if they will be offering the Gift Cards or any other random offer as a competitive effort.

Just thought I'd make mention of this, so we can all be on the lookout for this and post here if we hear of anything.

Also remember that if you buy a gift from Kmart get a gift receipt. If the receiving person doesn't have a reciept and you pay with cash, Kmart will NOT return or exchange any items. I received a George Foreman grill last year that I had to give away because my inlaws couldn't find the reciept and they paid in cash. I went to two different Kmarts and both said the same policy is now in effect because people were able to buy items from places like ROSS and return them to Kmart with Kmart tags on them at a higher price than they paid for the item at ROSS.
