Kmart Clearance: Backpacks at 70% off

Was at Kmart yesterday and the backpacks were clearanced for 70% off. Stockpile mentality spoke to me and I went ahead and got the kids' backpacks for next year for $4-$5 each. Works for me.

Yeah I have never stockpiled backpacks before (ie getting them now for next year.) But when you shell out $20 for a backpack it just kills you. And my oldest DD's backpack was $40 (dad bought it not me...she sweet talked him into getting some rediculous backpack)

Next year it will be those $4 backpacks. LOL

OT, but I just got 19 cent backpacks at The Childrens Place online a few days ago. I even got a email saying they shipped, though maybe it would get cancelled since they were 19 cents!! Got 5 camo backpacks for 6.xx shipped. The boys will be happy!!

My daughter's school always makes Backpacks for Foster children in our county so I"m gonna have to go tomorrrow and check out the prices here! She brought the paper home last week for the Help a child bounce back donate a backpack!

Dang...I just went to The Children's Place site and found those 19 cent backpacks, but they're out of stock. Ah, well...ya win some ya lose some.

I happened to be in CVS last night, and saw they had just moved the backpacks, and other school stuff to the back of the store, so they could put out the Halloween Stuff. I took some things to the register, and had them scan them, and they weren't marked down yet. Maybe I'll just head to Kmart. I can handle $5. DS really needs one. But I was so excited, to see these finally get moved for clearance at CVS, because I'm never lucky enough to catch something before it's gone.

Got to our store, just as they were moving the backpacks out for clearance. All I can say is I wish I would've had some extra 'play' money, because this was a really great time to stock up. Lots of variety, great markdowns. I was impressed! (esp. cause it was Kmart.) Repping you Queen!

ah shoot, I was in Kmart today & saw them moving around backpacks but didn't check the prices. I wasn't putting two & two together obviously!
