Is it all KMarts or just yours?

I had two new prescriptions.
I do not have prescription insurance so my question at the pharmacy is always:
“Q) Paying cash, how much is this prescription to fill?”
Well, the pharmacist came back and said:
“If you join our prescription plan, which is $10.00 to join, each of these prescriptions will be $5.00.”
(These same prescriptions are $4.00 each at Giant Eagle and I earn FuelPerks towards free gas-o-line.)
I said I was not interested in joining and then I asked if she knew of any coupons out there like Catalina coupon for ‘$20.00 Kmart gift card for a new or transferred prescription.’
She said no and then she lowered the hammer …
“Kmart no longer issues those kind of coupons and they no longer honor competitors’ RX coupons.”
“All discounts have been canceled and the only thing available is the prescription plan that I just mentioned.”
She said Kmart got a new head of the Pharmacy Department and he is making major changes.
This was the pharmacist I was talking to and she said these chances went into effect in May 2011.
Yikes!

Is it all KMarts or just yours?
This was the Kmart pharmacist talking to me and she impressed me that from now on, this is how the Kmart Pharmacy Department was going to do business.

They must want people to take their scripts somewhere else. One more card to carry, no thanks.
