Kmart is always changing things...does anyone know if there still doubling the $2 coupons?

I've heard conflicting info. This is what everyone has been getting in their emails from Kmart:

-Manufacturer Coupons up to and including $2 Value are doubled up to $2
no matter what the retail price of a single item is

People are interpreting this statement in 2 different ways. Either A) Kmart is allowing overage on coupons. Ex: A $2 item is purchased using a $1.50 coupon and the coupon is doubled to $3 giving the customer a $1 overage or B) Kmart is only allowing a coupon to double up to $2 period. Ex: A $4 item is purchased using a $1.50 coupon and the coupon is doubled to $2 and not $3.

This is the response I received about the KMart doubles in SC:

coupon event. This event is for select participating Kmart locations
from 04/04/10 to 04/10/10. All South Carolina Kmart stores will be
participating.

The rules for this event are as follows:

-Manufacturer Coupons up to and including $2 Value are doubled

-Does not include Kmart Store Coupons

-Does not include Kmart Pharmacy Store Coupons

-Limit 5 total coupons per customer per day

I wrote them today about Florida participation in the upcoming April super doubles.
They sent me this (it was all run-on together so I separated it all out, but the information is the same):

Super Doubles will be held from April 4 through April 10, 2010.

• Manufacturer Coupons up to and including $2 Value
• Doubled up to $2 no matter what the retail price of a single item is.
• Limit 5 coupons per customer per day. First 5 coupons presented will be doubled.
• Participating stores only.
• Amount of credit from doubling a coupon cannot exceed the current retail price of a single item. No cash or in-store purchase credit will be awarded for any amount exceeding the retail price of the item.
• Limit 1 coupon for each item purchased.
• Only 1 coupon will be doubled per item.
• You may only purchase 4 of the same item using double coupons.
• Excludes Buy One, Get One offers, Kmart Savings coupons and Kmart Store and Pharmacy coupons.
• Coupons do not apply to sales tax.
• Offer excludes products prohibited by law, including but not limited to alcohol, tobacco, and prescription medication.
• Not valid on non-merchandise, federal or state regulated items, prior purchases, Lands End, Sears merchandise rung on Sears registers within Kmart and kmart.com.
• In the event of a return, coupon savings may be deducted from the refund.

The only Florida stores that are not participating in super doubles are:
Belleview
Clermont
Daytona Beach
Key Largo
Key West
Kissimmee
Lake Mary
Marathon
Mount Dora
New Smyrna Beach

I had to laugh at the "Palm Gay"... that's my store too, for those not in this area it's supposed to be palm BAY fl...lol

I could be wrong but the wording I have seen appears to say you need the reward card for the 5 coupons to double. This could also mean that only a TOTAL of 5 coupons a day will be doubled. So we may not be able to have other family members get 5 unless they have a separate reward card. And we may not be able to go to more than one k-mart location in one day. Last doubles was the first time my local ones restricted how many used but I could go to 4 different stores in one day. I understand from an employee that the registers were changed this time and with the reward card will track this. :sad:(but we have heard this before).

Just some things to keep in mind before ordering coupons.

I live hours from a Kmart. I seriously would drive there though...if they had unlimited doubles (or like 10-20 of each item sort of thing...) but this wouldn't even remotely be worth my time.

The one I go to is Tabb they always double so if your always doubles just double check before going
