    QUESTION Coupon acceptance question...

I see in the FAQ thread that Kmart has no consumer available coupon policy. I was picking up a few things last night and saw the Physicians Formula makeup is 40% off. If my coupon is higher than the sale price will the register take it?

    Example:
    Reg price $7.95
    Sale Price: $4.77
    Coupon is for $5

    Will this go through?

    Rebates: $886.76 sent/$562.27 received/$1K Goal

I've had them go through with no problems sometimes, and other times beep. When they beeped the cashier sometimes forced them through at the full amount and other times adjusted down to the price of the item. I coudn't tell you the rhyme or reason to any of it, so my advice would just be to try it.

I agree to just try it. It really depends on if you have a cashier that is willing to read the coupon entirely and pay attention to the scanned price. I used to work at a kmart and technically the coupon can be redeemed for equal or lesser value of the scanning price of the item. So most likely it will be scanned for $4.77.

    Hope that helps!

My Kmart has always allowed overage. One time it took the manager 10 minutes to convince the cashier it was okay to do that

In my defense, I will only bid human beings in the auction forum if it's a MM.
