Item Will Be Free

they have loreal kids shampoo for $.75 and i had $.75 off coupons. they didnt allow me to use them because "then the item will be free, we cant let you do it, its against our policy"
i spoke to the manager, to the manager's manager, they made a phone call someplace else and the verdict was still the same they cant take a coupon if it makes an item free.
i feel like they are counting money in my pocket.

They're not giving it to you for free. They're getting paid from the manufacturer + a fee. I don't know why people insist on thinking you're ripping them off. Sheesh It's getting really old.

For the very same reason that people will throw their coupons in the trash before they even look at them... fresh out of the paper. The coupons are not green with presidents on them, so they do not look like money, even though that is essentially what they are. They are little pieces of paper with words, letters, numbers, pictures and symbols on them that you exchange for a product.

But for some reason... people think money has to be green and printed by the U.S. mint... and called "money". The concept of bartering is totally lost on our society.

I think that some people think couponers are just copping out of paying for the product... but they do not realize the time/effort it takes to find the deals and the fact that the time it takes is actually worth something as a paying job would be.
