Q: Do my Kmart gift cards expire?

A: NO! Kmart gift cards do not expire or deplete in value.

"As of May 1, 2006, Kmart discontinued its policy of charging a dormancy fee on gift card balances that were inactive in excess of 24 months.

If you have a gift card that you believe was impacted by a dormancy fee, you may have the fee refunded to you. Upon verification of the amount deducted from the gift card Kmart will refund to you the deducted fees. There are three ways to request verification and refund. You may send an email to the address below, call toll free (866) 463-6677, or mail an inquiry to the address below. In each case, it will take approximately 10 business days for the refund to be processed after verification. In order to process your request, please provide your name, address, phone number, and Kmart gift card account number located on the back of the card."

Big Kmart stores are designed to increase store sales by increasing the frequency of customer visits. The format focuses on three distinct businesses - home fashions, children's apparel and consumables - and features an expanded food area known as the "Pantry."

The average Big Kmart carries nearly 100,000 stock-keeping units (SKU’s).

Big Kmart stores average between 84,000 to 120,000 sq. ft. in size.

The first Big Kmart opened in Chicago, Illinois on April 23, 1997.

Kmart Super Centers - Kmart Super Centers are combination full-service grocery and general merchandise stores. Most Kmart Super Centers operate 24-hours a day and offer special services.

Kmart Super Centers range in size from 140,000 to 190,000 sq. ft..

Kmart Super Centers feature in-house bakeries, USDA fresh meats, fresh seafood - delivered daily of course, a full delicatessen and a variety of specialty food kiosks.

The average Kmart Super Center carries between 100,000 and 150,000 SKU’s.

There are currently 55 Kmart Super Centers.

Traditional Kmart stores average between 80,000 to 110,000 sq. ft. in size.

Kmart stores carry a full selection of general merchandise and include a Pharmacy.

The average Kmart store carries between 60,000 and 80,000 SKU’s.

Does Kmart accept Internet Printable coupons? K-marts are supposed to accept K-mart issued printable coupons. They will not accept manufacturer issued coupons. If you have difficulty with a particular K-mart store refusing a K-mart issued coupon, contact K-mart corporate and asked to have that store educated about the issue.

The following facts are the result of an e-mail to Kmart's customer Service Department:

the coupon be modified to reflect .99 so the item may be purchased? NO

I went this morning because they had Mentadent on sale for $2.50 and I had a $2 coupon I printed at home from the Mentadent link (www.areyouteethpeople.com) and the guy working the service desk (no cashiers on duty yet) said it was company policy that they not take coupons printed at home. Is this true? Thank you.

K-mart will price adjust on their returns within 7 days.

each item purchased? we except one or the other at time of sale.

I know I have done this before, and I didn't get any hassle at all. The register didn't beep or anything. I'm not saying to count on it since this is their company policy, but it doesn't hurt to try if it's a good enough deal.

My Kmart accepts internet printables. I called in November to corporate after they told me they didn't--and corporate told me, and their manager, that they do. Ever since, my store has accepted them.

do they accept all IPs or just K-mart IPs? I would love to know for sure that they are supposed to accept IPs. I was just there and was told no IPs accepted.

I had issues with IP coupons earlier this week including the one that Kmart sent me for signing up for their emails. I emailed Kmart customer service and got this response dated June 7, 2008:

Dear SXXXXXXX GXXXXXXXX,

Thank you for your recent correspondence. We are always interested in
hearing from our customers. Please accept our apology for any
inconvenience you may have encountered while trying to use an Internet
coupon at one of our stores. At this time, we are not accepting
coupons
printed from the Internet.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We appreciate your
business and value you as a Sears Holdings customer. We certainly hope

you will continue to make Sears Holdings your choice for quality and
value.
