Kmart ~ Vent: Kmart Vent Thread: Please read!!!

It appears that the threads are getting jammed up with vents about Kmart experiences. I am asking that you refrain from venting within any deal threads and post vents, poor experiences, problems, etc, directly in this thread. Please be forewarned though - this is not a free-for-all and all HCW rules still apply. This thread is specifically designed to be an outlet to constructively release your frustration and/or get resolutions for any issues.

Amazingly, I have no vents whatsoever about KMart, or their doubles! My two KMart stores have been great so far. (well, except the one that was closed on Sunday due to an arsonist setting fire to some toilet paper and causing a whole lotta damage....but that wasn't their fault). In fact, I'm pretty thrilled that one KMart store has neglected to hang the "sale" signs on the All detergent, so I was able to get some! yay!

i have the WORST luck at the SR-54 & Collier Pkwy K-mart. It took me over 25 min to check out on Tuesday and that was with the manager's assistance. I had 3 huggies diapers (3 x $2.00/pk IP) and 2 wipes (2 x $0.75/ea IP). The cashier kept choosing the diapers when she range the wipes coupons on the register so when she got down to the final $2.00 diapers coupon it would only double to $0.99 since the register thought it was for the wipes. She brought the manager over who had her re-ring everything. She made the same mistake again. So I made her re-do it again (third time now). I stuck to my guns and said it was incorrect again. We went round and round about how I was owed another $1.01 off my purchase. Finally I offered to ring up my own purchase if that would help as I knew the products I was purchasing and the coupons I was using. The manager said to just finish the transaction as it was and she would refund me $1.01 in cash at the service desk. The cashier then made a flippant comment about what a pain that was over a measly $1.01 as I was walking away. The manager's response was, "We hate double coupons. Its so stressful." I told her that I wouldn't step foot in a K-Mart except for double coupons because their prices are so much higher than any other store around and the customer service is horrible.

I went to the K-Mart on Dale Mabry & Columbus today -- in and out in 15 minutes. The cashier was super nice and was extremely helpful.

This seems to be normal for me -- horrible experiences at SR-54 and wonderful ones at DM/Columbus. My family refuses to go with me anymore to K-Mart for doubles because of the hassle we always encounter at Sr-54.

Was it an older lady? If so I got the same one last night and it made me never want to go back again during this double event. We will be trying the columbus one out tonight...

I know that, but chose not to because why would I print something when I can get the real card right in the store? Printing it at home doesn't do me any good when I've already done my shopping and have everything on the checkout counter. The cashier tells me, "well, we had them yesterday." A lot of good that does me TODAY!

actually it wasn't. it was a younger girl - i hadn't seen her before. i've had the older lady that you are talking about though. she used to make me put each coupon with each product to make sure "i wasn't cheating k-mart" as she told me once.

I am done with them. When I went on Sunday it was a zoo!!!!! Kids running and screaming pulling the easter items off shelves and running through the store.Lines were soooooo long. When I checked out only some coupons would double.Had to go to CS while I was waiting she kept answering the phone and not helping the line!!!!! Doubles or no I am not going back!!!!!!
