I do not shop KMart usually, may be a few times per year.
Went today to one of the stores not in my area, wanted Infusium B1G1 with my $3/1 coupons.
Brought 6 bottles to the register, gave to the young girl cashier 6 coupons. She said she can take only 1 coupon because it says "1 per purchase" (), but if I want all 6 bottles she'll have to do 6 separate transactions. The manager was nearby, she said the company doesn't like when lots of same coupons used on the same purchase (!). My attempts to explain the difference between "purchase" and "transaction" failed miserably, because she wouldn't even listen what I said: her response was "I'm the manager here".
That manger behaved politely, said that they are not refusing my coupons, but has to do each item separately if I want to redeem all 6 coupons on 6 shampoos. Finally I was able to convince her to do 2 per transaction.
For me it was not much of a difference, what shocked me is that she completely misunderstands coupons and corporate redemption policy.. In my area I have not seen it in years in any large stores, may be some new cashiers, but not store managers.
Optimism is a lack of information.
