Kmart Pharmacy GC Problems...argh! Over the past year or so, Kmart Pharmacy has been offering coupons
in their sales ads/flyers for $10 & $25 Gift Cards
with the purchase of a new or transferred prescription.
I have taken advantage of the deal, as I do receive a lot of scripts
in my family, and without decent RX insurance, every little bit helps.
As of recent, I had a new prescription filled. I brought in the
coupon for the $10 Gift Card (that clearly states $10 for ANY new
or transferred RX.) I was told that I would only be given the value
of the prescription I was picking up (which was a little over $1.00).
She then asked her supervisor (I assume) then rudely stated
"You might as well hang on to this coupon until you have a script worth more than $10.00."
The coupon did NOT say "up to $10.00" for a new/transferred script,
as some have in the past. I tried conveying this to her, but it was a pointless argument. The only response I got from her out of that was "Well, honey, a lot of things have changed around here."
If they're not taking the coupons, then they're making you wait at least 1 hour to pick up a script once you drop it off. Or, sometimes even out of the medication a person needs.(Not a problem I've experienced elsewhere.)
I've even had scripts transferred via Kmart's Pharmacy site. BIG mistake!
I waited a couple days later to pick up the script that was supposed to be transferred, came into the store, and was told that they never received any transfer request. I asked them if they received it from the site, only to get a dumbfounded look and a response of, "You can transfer prescriptions on the website? This is news to me!"
So, this is my rant. I apologize for those who have taken the time to read it. I know I could just as easily have taken my scripts elsewhere, but most pharmacies in my area do not take competitor coupons.
Just wondering if anyone else has had similar problems? :shrug7: Thanks.
