Kmart ~ Doubles Confirmed - MI Kmart stores are no longer doubling

Big surprise.

Another HCW member went into our local store the other day and the manager showed her a memo regarding the last day of doubles (using the Kmart rewards card) being 11/21/09 NOT December 19th AS ADVERTISED.

I am out of town but called the local Kmart that I shopped at a few days ago. Of course, they had no idea what I was talking about. I will be making a trip later today if I can.

Another HCW friend/member went into her local store and all the signage was down and the cashiers informed her that they indeed, were no longer doubling.

She tried a few coupons and none doubled.

Way to go Kmart. Yeah, I'm getting sick of them advertising great deals and programs and then backing out midway.

Anyone else confirm at their MI kmart store?

Update -

Went into my in-laws local Kmart to confirm myself. ALL signs were still up saying they were doubling through Dec. 19th. The manager refused to honor the sign for my one transaction.

I called corp and am now headed back to the store for my (5) items. Even CS didn't know a thing about it via phone. SAD.

So, if their are signs up throughout your Kmart stores (which there probably are) - they have to honor it. False advertisement at it's best.

My friend went to our store and the cashier said if you complained there was a way the cashier could override it. They said it was cancelled so it wouldn't hold up the lines for all the Christmas shoppers. Our store is never that busy, but hey, if they want even less business I guess they just got it.
