Re: How do Kmart register work when coupon value exceeds item? I use Q's that double to over the amount all the time. The coupon will double to the amount of the product, so for example if the item is $3.49 and the Q is for $2.00 the Q will double to $3.49 only. The computer doesn't beep because of this, however if you are buying multiple items from the same brand or different flavors of the same product, the computer will have a screen that pops up and asks the cashier to select the item the Q should be applied to. Watch this carefully because if the cashier chooses the wrong item, it could affect how your Q's double. For example if you have a $2.00 candle and a $3.00 cleaner from the same brand and you have a $1.00 Q for the candle and a $1.50 Q for the cleaner this should make them both free, but if the cashier chooses the wrong item to apply the Q, the $1.00 Q will still double fine, but the $1.50 Q if applied to the $2.00 candle would only double to $2.00 and you would lose $1.00 savings. (Does that make sense?? lol) |
