Kmart ~ Catalina Kmart-change in catalinas printing

In case you did not already read this somewhere....catalina changed how the OYNO are printing, they were printing when the cashier hit TOTAL but now they are not printing until after you complete the transaction. I went this morning and when it wouldn't print at 2 different registers when they hit total, I had them void it and I left. Then a friend told me she read about it changing. Went back and sure enough, it printed after my credit card ran through. I don't know who was more anxious about it, me or the cashier!

So if it's when you are completing your transaction, does that mean minimum purchase amounts must be met AFTER all coupons have been added in order to receive the catalinas?

it is still the total before coupons, so maybe you can do each item with each coupon, and still get the $14 cat. Who wants to be the guinea pig???

Yes, its still the total before coupons. The only thing that changed is when the cat prints out.

Same thing happened to me, I had the manager over who said just go to customer service after I finished my transaction and they'd give me a $14 gift card, but then it printed right after....felt like a dummy, but the night before it was when you hit total!

I went Monday and as soon as they hit total it printed, then on wednesday it printed after I paid, I just thought it was the cashiers not hitting the total button!

Does anyone have the promotion number for this deal? As I indicated in a different thread, I had problems with this deal on Monday. I still have all of the items bagged in my car, though I left the receipt at home.

I had registered a complaint while completing a store survey, and a Kmart dude called me back. He said that based on my purchase, I should have received a $14 catalina and indicated that he would have the store manager call me.

Just got off the phone with the manager. He is saying that because I used coupons, the most he will give me is $3. Said there was a coding error that has now been fixed, and that the catalina prints on the after coupon amount. I told him he was incorrect, but he wouldn't budge.

I can either take all the stuff back, make them re-ring it, and hope for the best, but I'm thinking it may just be better to contact catalina directly. I think you have to have a promotion number, though, correct?

I have a question also, I didn't receive my $2.50 Betty Crocker/GM catalina coupon. I made the mistake of checking out at the service counter, I didn't know that the cat machine wasn't on that register. (they only had one register open with a long line & asked me to check out at the service desk) I also didn't get my $14 unilever cat , but the manager gave me a $14 gift card to make up for that. I left the store & then I realized that I was missing out on my $2.50 cat coupon. Do I just call catalina & explain what happened or will I just be out of luck on the $2.50 Betty Crocker cat coupon? Thanks for any help.
Also note: I checked out previously the same day (Thursday) & my $14 unilever cat didn't print. I went to the service counter & the manager gave me a $14 gift card. I had used a $14 unilever cat from a previous purchase...is that why I didn't get a new one at time of purchase?

I am disappointed with the catalina machine at KMart. I did the Pantene deal and didn't get $10/$10 cat coupon. I bought about 10 of the Hartz dog treats and didn't get the free cat on any of these transactions. Finally on my 3rd day at KMart I ask the cashier about the machine and she said "oh none of these machines work!".

So what do I do? Do I save my receipts and take them back to the head manager? Or do I call corporate and express my diappointment with this particular KMart store? What do you think?

the $10/10 cat is not a cat. it prints out at the end of your reciept if you bought the required $40 to get it.
