Ummmm, I think she was very mis-informed.....

Either go to another Kmart or go back into this Kmart and pick up your itmes and go through the line. You are not getting for free if you have to pay tax in your state either.

Gotta love when pp don't know what they talking about.

Oh please, she's making that up. The cash register automatically matches the coupon value, up to face value or the remaining price of the item. In your case, the receipt would show "scanned coupon...$2.00, multi coupon...$1.87". So it would be free. They don't do the doubling manually and I don't think they can override it, so she was wrong. Maybe she meant that you can't get an overage, which is true.

Its also possible that she meant that they will not double a free item. I actually heard someone try to tell the casheir at one of the stores I was at to double a free item. Would be great, but no. The register does everything for them, except some "picking" of the correct item by them.

That cashier was NOT going to stand there and look through each MFQ and say " Well this would be free so you can't get it" This would also be free and stand there with a acalculator lol ... She just didnt know WTH she was talking about.

I was SHOCKED and happy that I gave Kmart a 2nd chance! The first time the cashiers were soooo rude! This time the cashier asked me if I could give her the coupons after each item/s so she would not get confused. I was thrilled and had them all in order in my hands anyway.

I will deffinately be going back!

I dunno, I've kinda had it with "kameApart" lately. Too many rules change all of the time. It's an hour away for me to the closest one, I just don't have it in me anymore to do the battle with them. Plus they jack everything up so high for double days, it just isn't worth it anymore. I am not going to drive an hour one way to use 25 coupons max.
