K-Mart-question on pounce cat treats $1.50/2q

i have a q for pounce cat treats, $1.50/2. they are priced at 1.29 each.

i know they will double up to the price of one, but not sure what will happen with this q. does anyone know or have they tried to use this q?

As long as your cashier chooses both pkgs on the touch screen when she scans the coupon, it should double up to $2.58. Make sure to put those items at the end, so that you can be sure to watch how she selects the product for the coupons on her screen.

I have NEVER had what Mikki316 describes happen at Kmart. During the first doubles event in my area (when I was "new" to it), I used a few $/2 coupons and they DID NOT work this way. In newclipper's scenario, I would only have gotten 1 for free--not $2.58 off and not $1.50 off.

They WILL NOT double that cpn, I can verify from experience. I tried that exact cpn a few days ago

Doesn't matter if they chose both items on the screen. Their system is set up (and the terms in the ad state) that the doubling of a coupon cannot exceed the price of a single item. I tried to explain and argue my point to a mgr even, and they said nope.

I suppose it's YMMV then. Worked for me the one and only time I tried x/2 coupons. I tried it since so many were having problems and posting on HCW. I just don't have the time to stand there and babysit the register, so I leave the x/2 alone. :shrug7:

I used it today and it worked just fine, but I did had to remind the cashier to select both of them.

Worked for me also. I put all my xx/2 coupons in one order and told the cashier that they may not double correctly. She made sure to watch and fixed all that didn't double correctly.

Even if it doesn't double, you should still get $1.50 off (as that is the face value) - the up to the value of one item should only be for doubles - so you'd pay at most $1.08 for 2 packages (which still isn't better than other stores that have them for at or just under $1 each).

Mine doubled just fine I told the lady she had to select two items for that coupon though since the coupon says its 1.50/2 items and she said oh ok and no problems

I try to avoid the X/2 qs as well. I went on Sunday and had all X/1 except for the Pounce. I guess I must have blanked out because I was getting the Good Life treats and just mistakenly put in Pounce forgetting about how it doubles. Didn't double and the cashier selected both. My kids were cranky and I didn't want a fight with CS so I just ate it. If they have doubles again, I won't use X/2!
