Yes you read that right, a guy who coupons. A guy in his mid 30's to be exact. My wife used to do them and got me hooked. Business is slow right now, so I go out and save the fam some money and get to have fun doing it.

This was an awesome trip! The lady behind me leaned in really close and was asking about the double coupons. She said, "I just want to see your total!" She kept repeating over and over, OMG! That's Incredible! Everyone behind her kept saying, "Somebody sure knows how to shop!" Then my total came up. All I heard behind me was a resounding, "Huh!" The cashier looks at me and says, "I guess it really does pay to use coupons." I said, "It sure does!"

I was so excited. I got mostly the free stuff, but what cost me (just a little) were some of the things I got to send some missionary friends in another country. Total before coupons 141.97. After coupons 17.48!
OH, I went ahead and got the dog treats there because everywhere else I had looked for them was sold out. And the one find I was not expecting but am so excited about is the Pantene Hairspray. It was in the clearance section for $2.14 each. With the $1 q doubled, I only paid .14 each!

I don't have time right now to post everything but my total BC was $85ish AC it was $3.50!!!!! The cashier was even excited for me! This is so much fun but hard to shop with an almost 3 year old who does not like to sit in the cart! :o)

I feel the same way. Yesterday was my third trip and it didn't go so well. I was overcharged approx. $19. I offered to give the lady my coupons after each item but she wanted to take them all at the end. She did not press the right items for the coupons (and I was watching her as she did it, and told her what buttons to push and she pushed the wrong one anyway) and then she gave me back 2 coupons and told me that they would not scan and she couldn't take them. A front end manager came over and said that because it states one coupon per purchase they couldn't take it.

It was the end of the nignt and the store was closing so I rushed over to customer service and returned the items that she didn't take the coupons for. In the end I was still overcharged by $4

After my trip last night I am not sure I will be making a third trip. They didn't figure my coupons right and I was getting so heated I just ended giving up. I talked to the lady at the service dept because my bill should have been about 7$ but was around 25$. She said that coupons would not double to make an item free and that no items would be given for free which only happened on part of my purchase. I had some eye shadows that were 3.50 and 2/1 coupons that doubled up to 3.50 I also had some 2/1 coupons that only counted for 2 dollars that were not rounded up = ( which is why I had to pay more than I should have!

So wonderful!!!! I didn't even think about the Mr. Clean erasers -- thanks! Those are great at cleaning my baseboards and my kids think it's fun (shhhh....don't tell them it isn't).

I have done a measly 4 transactions and they are ALL WRONG - didn't have time to figure it out right then, so now I have to go back and get them all fixed and I mean wrong to the tune of $15+ dollars each time- I spent $99 on a bill that was supposed to be only about $12+ YIKES - had 4 yo ds with me both times (he did his own transactions:)) and had to get 6 yo dd from school so both trips were stressful - I do not think I like this Sam I am - I might just do a few things at once and then suggest that I check myself out - this girl was hitting all sorts of wild things on the register and getting very huffy about it!!!! UGH Ok, now that I've vented, I think I'll go for some more free make up;)

Out of four trips this week two were wrong. The problems are when the clerks are just pushing things at random on the screen. My bill was off by $18+ but the customer service person was really nice about it and handed me a $20. If you go down the receipt line for line you can find the errors.

I'd love to give you the receipt from my first visit and have you make heads or tails with it. I had some coupons that since she chose the wrong product, I got overages on. Like maybe the $2 Glade coupon and I bought the holder for $2.99. Well, say she picked another item that was $5.99 instead of doing the correct item, the Glade. So I got $4 on that coupon, but really I shouldn't have. But then like the $1/3 candy coupons, she chose other products or maybe just one bag of candy so it didn't double right at all. So everything is all screwed up. I mean, yes, you could sit there and decipher the codes and figure it out with a piece of paper and about an hour's worth of time, but just a pain in the butt.
