Olathe KS store was wiped out today. I'm not surprised though, It was busy on wednesday and there is a lot of coupon competition in my area. I forgot to do the glade and they were all out. I didn't get much, but i did get 3 of the panty hose free, 1 edge shave gel, 2 hefty travel bags @ .19 each, and 1 rubbermaid tote 3.49 a/c and doubles.

This is the first Kmart doubles I've done and it's done differently than any other doubles I've participated in. I am paying regular sales tax and then they are charging tax on the doubled amount? For example, if the coupon is $1, then they charge me $.07 for that. If it's $.50, then I am charged $.03. Just wondering if that's how it's done in other states.

My store is a non participating store however armed with my email from corporate they said that they were honoring it but not advertising it because it is a smaller Kmart. The manager was actually whispering...LOL! Anyway, at my store the registers were not set up to do the double so everything was manually entered and until I looked over my receipt when I got home did I realize that I got major overage! I feel a little bad but knowing that most of the stuff is going to be donated I am not worrying too much. I am going back though and may mention it. I ended up getting $207.XX worth of stuff for $7.XX Here is what I got...P.S. I may mention that I went only wanting to get the free stuff or super cheap items (that I needed only). What a blast!!! I plan on doing it again the next two days and this was with my 5 kids!!! They were just as excited too. I felt bad for the lady ringing it all up but I am sure she will get over it. Have fun guys!

Total Saved: ~$75 between sales and coupons. Not bad, but about the same that I could do at a grocery store with loss leaders and coupons.

It DOES look like I got gipped out of a few coupons and one thing rang up improperly, but since I didn't catch it in the store, it's unlikely I'll see benefit from it. Oh well. It was a bit of a chore to have to get to Kmart and shop there today; I think I'll probably only ever shop there when they're offering double coupons. The normal prices are higher than Target, and the cashiers aren't properly trained on how to work their systems.

They are not charging you tax they are taking it off, at least thats what they did for me in Utah. After I was done I noticed it said "bottle dep return" for the tax amount and I asked the service desk about it and she said that was a round about way to take the tax off since the cashier had rung them all up twice before taking the tax off. On the receipt it looks like it is added on but it really is taking it off. On my other transactions it says "30 day order" but the cashiers hit the wrong button a couple of times and again it said "bottle dep return". On my last transaction the receipt says Tax $15.70 Balance $93.00 then after all of the "bottle dep return" or the "30 day order" it says DS $82.04.

Ok.. I live in a state that was not doubling.. but did anyway since I had CS call and talk to the manager.. I too relized that I was given overage because they doubled all coupons, without looking at the actual price.. I went to 4 stores in the last 2 days:

I would take pictures.. but my stockpile was already overflowing.. and now its just taking over the basement!! Which is a GREAT thing!

I decided to call and see if the local store was participating and the girl told me they weren't but if I came in and asked they had to honor it.
I got a sitter and off I went.

Total was $199.74. After all my coupons my total was $14.90 Yes Fourteen dollars and ninety cents!!! HAlf of that was tax.
I was in the store for 3 hours and didn't get through all of it. I was tired and just wanted to get home. Plus I couldn't get any more in the cart.

In the beauty book there is a coupon for $2 off Nailene, Fingr's, or Fingr's edge nail care item. These are good on the little stickers for your nails. Reg price is 2.99- 4.99. Good deal because I never see coupons for this stuff. And with 2 girls it will go over well.

Also got $1 off Kiss nail product in there. There are 1.99 stickers for those too so FREE.

Dove cream oil body was is in the book too. Shelf price $4.49 -$2Q= .49c

Calgon take me away product $1 off. Saw the old boxes for 1.99. but the coupon would not work for it so I told them to take it off. May work for some people. If so it would be FREE too.

Also saw tear pads for $5 Kmart gift card wyb $10 in kotex products. If you buy 10 pantyliners and use $1 Q. You could get free liners and double dip for the $5 GC.

I read on a blog that you had to have an item without a coupon for the CAT to "attach" onto in order for it to double- so mine either attached to the free scented oil warmers, or the cereal- since I had one q for 3 boxes! Mine definitely doubled after I counted up items and coupons!

I went to the Pasadena, MD store.

I got:

6 Sunsilk shampoo/conditioners - $.00 ea after $1.50 coupon
2 Glade Flameless Candles - $1.49 ea after $5 coupon
1 Glade FC refill - $1.69 ea after $1.00 coupon
1 Colgate MaxFresh - $.99 ea after $1 coupon
4 Renuzit jar scents - $.50 ea after $1 coupon
2 4 pack of Schick disposable razors - $1.49 ea after coupon

I tried for Sure but someone cleared it all out. The Electrasol was $4.xx for the 20 pack. I'm just going to have to let those 2 coupons expire. I wish I had time to go through with my binder.

$10.64 in product, $13.02 with tax for the above. I need to stop buying air fresheners - it's getting to be a sickness

The cashier was cool about the coupons, asked me about a couple items just because of the way they came up on the screen. Everything that doubled should have.

I got a $2 catalina from SC Johnson. Between 9/21 and 12/8, spend:
$10 - $14.99 = $2.00
$15.00 - $19.99 = $3.00
$20+ = $5

I also got a $7/$70 off for pantry, beauty care or health care, calculated before taxes and other discounts have been applied. Valid 10/11 - 10/12.

Edit: I originally put the prices in off the top of my head - looking at the register tape, they're different than the shelf.
