I don't understand why Kmart can't be straight forward about their double coupon events. :shrug7:Yesterday, at work, yes Kmart, I was told by several coworkers our store in Huber Heights, OH was participating. I spent hours preparing to find today that we are not participating. GRRRR! I guess I will be that much more prepared for 11-30. The story is, we were a test store during the other events that were meant just for superK. Sounds like we are now just going to participate in the events advertised in the weekly flyer. If you ask me Kmart is just frusturating its customers, as well as its employees, with the flip floppy messages. They act like using coupons is some CIA secret!

Being a person to ask questions I sent an e-mail to see if all stores were really gonna be a part of this next double coupon sale. They of course said yes. Then I read some posts in here saying we could use no more than 3 coupons on like items (buy 3 so and so's use 3 coupons) so I e-mailed them back to see what the deal is and here is the e-mail

Thank you for contacting Kmart regarding the Kmart Double Coupon Event.
We appreciate your interest in this promotion. We understand wanting to
know if your local store is participating in the up coming events. These
promotions are from 11/12/ to 11/16 for all super k stores (listed
below) and 11/30 to 12/6 for all Kmart stores. We invite you to visit
any of the participating stores or if you received our Double Coupon
advertisement, you can present this advertisement at this or any local
Kmart store and the double coupon event will be honored.

Here are the details of the promotion:
Amount of credit from [doubling] a coupon cannot exceed the retail price
of an item. No cash or in-store purchase credit will be awarded for any
amount exceeding the retail price of the item. Limit 1 coupon for each
item purchased. Only 1 coupon will be [doubled or tripled] per item.
You may only purchase 4 of the same item using double coupons. Coupons
do not apply to sales tax. Limit 75 coupons per customer per day.
Internet coupons or copies of manufacturer instant coupons are not
valid. Offer excludes products prohibited by law, including but not
limited to alcohol, tobacco, and prescription medication. Not valid on
non-merchandise, federal or state regulated items, prior purchases,
Lands’ End, Sears merchandise rung on Sears registers within Kmart and
Kmart.com. In the event of a return, coupon savings may be deducted from
refund.

Sears Holdings (Kmart) reserves the right to modify or cancel this
program at any time.

Stores and customers think the system is calculating this incorrectly
but it’s not. We can only ‘double up’ to a single item amount.
For example:
Customer brings in coupon for $1.00 off two packages of SunMaid Raisins.
Each package is $1.79. The customer will see the following on her
receipt:
Raisins $1.79
Raisins $1.79
Coupon $1.00
Coupon $ 0.79
They won't get the full $2.00 amount. They'll only get up to $1.79
since that is the single item price.

I just asked to have them removed from my order and dropped it. Later while checking my receipt, I saw that other coupons were given single and partial credit. For example, one of the dog treats were $2.50 and the coupon for it was $1.50/1. The register gave single credit at $1.50 and partial credit at $1.00 to make the item free. Any advice? Should I write Kmart? That's kind of deceptive. If I had not asked about how each item was rung up, I would have never know I was being overcharged. :shrug7:

Just out of curiousity... The last time our store did this it was horrible, the cashier didn't check the items with the coupons on the screen so say I used 4 revlon coupons and 3 were for any but one was only for a lip item (instead of this being a small list imagine it being a huge list) then she scans them and just picks a random item for the coupon then at the end it will not take one of my coupons because she used an any revlon on the lip item so now I am stuck with a lip item coupon that she will not take. Hopefully I didn't confuse everybody to bad on that. Anyway my question is : Do any of you have a way to keep the item with the coupon, any certain order you use? Or could I just use a small peice of tape and tape the coupon to the each item? Then have her scan the coupon with the item? Than you all for any help!

sbourland, the coupons have to be taken off at the end after everything has been scanned. If you want to tape the coupons to the items, the cashier would have to wait to bag the items and take the coupon off of each item. This might help in getting them to match the coupons up correctly, but it is time consuming. I used to work at kmart and the super doubles is awesome for those who are saving money, but a pain for the cashiers because they have to select which items some of the coupons are for. Your ENTIRE order gets put up on a pop up screen and the cashier has to select the item (based on the upc number I believe).

I always took my time figuring out which coupon went with what because I wanted to make sure the customer was getting everything rung up correctly, but it can be a pain for those grumpy customers (I'm talking about mr. rolley-eyes at the back of the line) who don't understand how the system works and how time consuming it can be.
