Ok, I have a question for any of ya'll that can give me an answer. For some reason I never get a Kmart black Friday ad. I knew I wouldn't get one this year so I even signed up at the Kmart website to receive ads and email alerts. Well, I still didn't get an ad. Last year when this happened I called up to the store the nigt before Thanksgiving to try to get a copy from them. They would not give me a copy. I went ahead and called tonight to try to get a copy. They did not want to give me one. I asked to speak to a manager and the girl on the phone kept telling me that it wouldnt do any good to talk to one. I insisted and after 5 minutes of talking to her I was able to speak with a manager. He also didn't want to give me a copy of the ad. He told me to look online. I explained that I really wanted a paper ad to look at so I could circle the stuff on there that I wanted. He still didn't want to give me one. I asked for his name, the store managers name, and the corperate office number. He decided at the point to give me an ad. It is 7:30 the night before Thanksgiving.
Now for my questions. Is it Kmart policy not to give out copies of their Thanksgiving day ad until Thanksgiving morning? If so, why?

That doesn't make sense, and sounds like plain bad service. Since I got mine in the mail today, I can't see why they wouldn't give you one today. Whats the difference? Ugh at least they are gonna give you one.

Here's a little word of caution if you are shopping Kmart today.

I hit the Super Kmart on West Washington at 7am and was thoroughly disappointed.
I went for the toys and came home with a few good deals but a lot of people were upset because of the wording of the Ad.

For example the items I went for:
Your choice $19.99 Sale Air Hogs remote-controlled vehicles.
The Havoc Cyclone, Havoc Heli, Havoc Stinger and Zero Gravity were the only ones on sale.
They had plenty of the Havoc Cyclone, but none of the others.

50% off Hot Wheels or Matchbox 10-packs or Hot Wheels Trick Tracks playsets
The Power Loop and the Drop Tower were the only sale items.

The Ad does not say "Select Items only" or "Only Items Pictured". Very mis-leading. I had to put back all the Trick Tracks and the Air Hogs not pictured.

Seriously it was a gas waster for me. Twenty miles round trip. Let's hope that I can get the Air Hogs and Hot Wheels Tracks I need tomorrow at Meijer, Target, and Walmart.


CVS on the other hand was wonderful. Easy shopping. I picked up the MP3 player for free I needed with all the ECBS I had. The rest of it was just a happy bonus!

If I could give you some advice, go to Meijer to buy what you need and get there around 3:30 am if you can. The toy dept will be dead and if you can't find the workers are bored and will be glad to help. I went to Meijer today at 4:30 am and 5 other people were milling around the toy dept and by 5:50 it was packed.

:) Thanks. I'll be going tomorrow to Meijer. I used to be a Music and Video vendor who had to work these sales, and I am pretty familiar with how they put the items out and who to bug to get what I need. I will be certainly be there early. Unfortunately, I wasn't interested in anything they had today.

I am also going to Walmart tomorrow and that scares me. I have done Black Friday shopping during the chaos hours, I've always price-matched around 10am whatever I didnt' find elsewhere.

I so know what you mean. I went in for the Air Hogs stuff and was surprised to only see 5 Zero Gravity cars and no Havoc Heli (one that I needed to get) and they had a few of the gliders and one Havoc Stinger. I ended up getting a car and a stinger. I will be returning the stinger though because Target will have the heli on sale for $15 tomorrow. I am just going to price match at WalMart. Kmart seems to always disappoint with their sales. I waited outside for an hour and then I could barely get through the store. If I hadn't have run to the toys like everyone else, I probably would have left with nothing. I know it would have been easier to go price match, but that takes some of the fun away.

The board games were really misleading as well. DH went to get those and a few other things and said the same thing- a waste of time!

I agree!! I went for the Nerf Vulcan guns and they had 1 in stock at opening:hectic1:, the ad said no rainchecks but they did give me one.

Anyone had any luck with finding the Playstation 2 Bundle Games for $9.99? I will have to drive 40+ miles one way to get somethings at Kmart and etc. But I really need the games. Any info on them?

yeah i didn't get much either, dh decided we needed to go get a laptop at another store for his BIL, and he waited in line for 2.5 hours there, i didn't want to go w/but said i should, ds and i waited in the car and they handed out vouchers and dh wasn't even close to getting one, there were 100 laptops there. All we got at NFM was a rug for 40$ sale 140, reg retail 230. I was bummed out, tired and wanted to come home and just order things online, but of course kmart was oos on the lone game i really wanted from there, and don't even get me started on sears.com, grrhh. The dang site wouldn't load, so ds and i went up to kmart to grab the game, i got the last one, and 1 turtleneck for him as they were out of his sizes in the shirts i wanted to buy him. I think i am more irriated w/sears.com and kmart.com.Sears finally started working when it was 12:00 and by then they were out of the blanket i wanted and so I didn't get the trampoline either b/c i couldn't get free shipping or use and xx/50 coupons or anything. Oh well. I did get ds a scooter at gordmans and a luggage set, but i couldn't use my 15% coupons b/c they were doorbusters...Oh man, this wasn't that great. But i was looking at kmarts ad for sunday and there is the buy 50 g/c get 10 g/c deal going, super doubles and i got one of those 5/50 email coupons so it looks like things may be better on sunday. i did see a few things i that will be good deals too,I hope...
