Wow, I'm amazed that your movie prices are so cheap. Evening movies here are $9.50. Matinees are $6.50.

Even at $6.75 I never go. So I can't imagine $9.50. I just can't see shelling out those prices when there are hundreds of movies that I have never seen on TV all the time (my dh works for the cable company so we get all the premium channels free). I guess I am just cheap. My dh likes to go to the movies though so I go once in a while for his sake.

Catalina Re: Free Indiana Jones Movie Tickets

I went yesterday and all they had were 4 bottles left, so I got them. The cashier forgot to give me my catalina coupon - so I almost walked out without it. I would've been very pissed since I made a special trip just to get it.

My 5 yr old is now obsessed with Indiana Jones, so we were gonna go anyways. If we see a matinee then it will be free - only $6 or $6.50 I think.

Thanks for the info! We don't have a K-Mart within 20 minutes, but it is worth a stop next time I visit my parents to do this deal and I never would have know except for this thread!!

It's been soo long since I've been to the movies that when she said that I was like HUH? Well how much does it cost these days anyhow!? I just looked & ours is $7.00, so it would be free for me. BUT, I've got 1 free ticket to use by the end of May & another 6 I think by Sept or something. Just hard for dh & I to go cause we'd have to get a sitter for the 4 kids....so more than likely one of us will go with a kid or 2 or go alone.

I may do this deal if my 9 yr old is interested in the movie. I have not interest in seeing it.

And like the other person said, there are so many $1 rentals out there that I'd like to see that paying for an actual movie....no way, too cheap ! Oh & I hate when people say that dh & I should go on a date night & see a movie. WTH kind of date is a movie when you sit & stare at a screen for 2 hours & have no communication!?!? LOL That one always bugs me!

I rarely go to the movies anymore, maybe 3 times a year and almost always for the matinee ('cept for the Lord of the Rings movies, I was one of the "nerds" who watched them @ midnight) but, I've waited almost 20 yrs. for another Indiana Jones movie, so, I'm pretty excited. Generally, tho' I wait for movies to come out on Video. the last one I saw in the theatre was the last National Treasure movie.

LOL! It's not a date,it's going to see amovie, the date is the dinner/pizza before or afterward. It always bugged me as a teenager/young adult when my boyfriend and I would go to the movies and he wanted to make out...Like, Hello! I'm watchin' a movie here...save it for later.
Thank God my Dh and I are quite like minded in this, oh and we do wisper jokes and smart comments to each other while watching the movie. We try to sit a little away from others so, that doesn't bother them. Sometimes we go with our pastor and his wife, but he likes to sit behind you and bean you in the head with popcorn LOL!

Default Re: Free Indiana Jones Movie Tickets

Well, no free movie tickets for me. K-mart as usual has messed up a perfectly good promo for me. I drug DH to K-mart with me to do two transactions--I was buying four Dr. Pepper and He was buying four Dr peppers plus a few other things we needed. We get up to the registers and NONE of them are open--theres a line at the customer service desk and that's the only place they are checking people out. I knew immediately this would be a problem as there were no catalina machines at the service desk.

The lady in front of me was getting four Dr. pepper so I asked her if it was for the movie tickets and she said yes. I said, well this should be interesting because they are supposed to print out of a catalina machine and I don't see one there--she didn't seem to know what I was talking about (okay I can see that, most people have no idea about cat machines). When she gets up to the register the lady explains she is getting the Dr Pepper for the movie tickets. The CSM says "well if they gonna print they gonna print here" and points to the place where the receipts print. Of course when she rings the lady up nothing except a receipt prints. I step up and pull out a catalina coupon for something else and try to show them what the movie coupon should look like and point to the catalina machines over at the registers. There is even a picture of the catalina on the signage in the store and the CSM is still clueless and trying figure out how to get it to print at the register.

Finally she calls a manager, and while they are hashing it out the Jewelry clerk tries to call me over to ring me up. Well I notice there is a catalina machine over there so I go over and explain I am trying to get the movie ticket promotion and I ask her if "the machine that prints coupons" is working while pointing at the catalina machine. This is an elderly lady and she gets all huffy and says, "ma'am I have no control over what that machine prints." I say fine, just ring me up and if it doesn't print I'll return it at CS. At this she REFUSES to ring me up and gets very upset with me saying, "no ma'am I don't want no void on my drawer, I can't control that machine and I have NEVER seen it print anything out for Dr. Pepper." I try, fruitlessly to explain that it's in this weeks ad and show her the ad and she gets even more riled up and is refusing to ring up my Dr. Pepper--she is going on and on about how she has worked there for 13 years and the machine has never printed a Dr. Pepper coupon and she didn't want the void on her drawer. I felt bad for her, really I did. It was clear she knew nothing about computers and was also scared of getting in trouble, but I was so frustrated and DH at this point just wanted to leave. I should have listen to him....

The manager finally came over because the jewerly clerk was yelling at me and refusing to ring me up. I explained the machine to him and he seemd to get it. He rang me up, I paid and nothing printed. So he takes me and the other lady who is still trying to get her movie ticket to a register, opens it up and ring her up again. Nothing. While we are at the register my catalina prints over at the Jewelry counter and another employee brings it over. It was slow printing they said. So the manager figures that one will print at the register where he just rang the other lady up and HE HANDS MY CATALINA TO HER! I was like "wait a minute, isn't that mine--" but he assured me he would get one to print for me and since she was there first she should get it! I was dumbfounded. Here I had paid and my cat printed and he gave it away--now granted she deserved to get one too for buying the right items but it's the principle, you know. Well the kicker is another Cat never printed! We waited and waited.

Finally I said keep it all and I want a refund for the Dr. Pepper I bought at the Jewelry counter. He offered me a $10 K-mart gift card, which in retrospect I should have taken it and bought more Dr. pepper with but I was just so frustrated at this point I was done. I wanted my cc refunded and then I wanted to leave.

Well we go to CS to refund and the clerk had not given me the right part of the receipt. I'm still holding the part that I signed. the manager picks up a stray receipt on the counter that has four Dr Peppers on it and gives it to the CS gal. She starts to refund it so that i will get the money back on my card, but then it hits me, wait that's not my receipt. I asked to see it and compare it and sure enough the cc numbers DO NOT MATCH! She has just put 5.25 back on someone else's card. I ask for a refund in the form of cash and the manager comes and signs off on on it. Then they try to GIVE me the Dr Pepper FREE. I wouldn't take it, there were cameras and I didn't want to get accused of stealing anything. They said they give stuff away all the time and it was really fine for me to take it and that made me even more peeved for some reason. It was like they were trying to bribe me so I wouldn't contact corporate on them. Maybe I'm a sap for wanting to follow the rules, but it just seemed wrong to me. So thank you if you've read this far and sorry for the book, but I wanted to warn people and I will NEVER set foot in a KMART again.

This may sound silly, but is the voucher ONLY for the Indiana Jones Movie? Or is it just movie money and you could select another movie if you wanted?
TIA for any help
Thanks
