KMART policy no Q's on clearance items!!!???

okay someone help me please...I went to Kmart today and got the sunsilk on clearance for .87. The cashier would not let me use the coupon. I had 11 making the total 9.57 before taxes and had 3 q's for $3/3 cashier would not even scan it she said it would be like her paying me to take it...go figure....then I ask her if she could price adjust it and she said no then went to cust service they said no I ask for Kmart # and they called the manager and he said no q's on clearance items. I was very polite but left and called corp. Corp told me NO that Kmart will not accept q's on clearance items they told me that I could not get 2 discounts(????) I ask her if qpons were not a form of payment and they get reimbursed from the manu and she said still it was KMarts policy! Can someone tell me who to call because this can't be right, is it? If so I will never give Kmart anymore of my money.

I know KMart is really a PITA when it comes to coupons. in fact, they don't even take their own IPs here. If a coupon is over the sale price, they will not accept it. I don't call corporate anymore, I know its YMMV depending on each SM.

The reason I go to KMart is for their blinkies/forms/tearpads/booklets which they always have in abundance.

How ridiculous!! I just went and had no problems doing that on Friday. I had a guy cashier and a female manager standing right there behind him, she saw it all and never said one word. Not sure if i just got lucky or if it was actually ok. Sorry about the PITB experience for you.

Ive always been told no coupons on clearance and I have never had a DM call me back when I call to complain about something.

Wanted to add i did have other things in my cart of than the items that were on clearance. Not sure if that made a difference. It offset the cost i know.

The cashier did not care she wouldn't even try to scan it, it wouldn't have mattered if I had a 100 things :(

funny, 'cause I used Q's for the Sunsilk and Dove @ my Kamrt and they scanned and even gave me overage! I was very surprised but delighted.

I went into K-Mart the other day. I had some formula and a couple pieces of clothing for DD. Went up to the front...there is NO ONE THERE. There is another woman with a cartful looking confused. I can not find a SINGLE employee. Finally, DD needs to be in bed and I'm ticked off, and I shout "HELLLLOOOO?"

Someone shouts at me...from the other end of the store..."GO TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK." Been there done that, but some old lady magically appears. By now there's a HUGE line, the woman can't even see enough to find the barcodes (not kidding) and it takes me 30+ minutes to get out of there.

Not going back!

And they lost themselves a sale by not taking the Qs. The idiots!

Kmart is my fav for clearance & coupons=free. I've never had a problem. They don't give me my overages but free is fine for me. I go to 6 of them when I am on a shopping weekend.
I'm sorry to hear they are doing that to you.
