    DD3 Kleenex $0.50/box at kings

I was couponing through the King Soopers in Greeley (Westlake) yesterday and noticed they had their 120-count Kleenex boxes on sale for $0.50 a piece (save $1.58).

They're on sale because they still have the Olympics-themed boxes. Gosh, now that the Olympics are over, I guess we can't use those Kleenexes!

Anyway, I didn't have any Kleenex Qs, but still thought that was a good price. Hopefully you have some to spend on these "outdated" boxes.

Just curious, how'd you find out that your King Soopers takes expireds? Did you ask the store or were you able to use some with no problem? I guess I could just ask the next time I'm there!

Well at first I accidently passed off an expired coupon (I think it was mission tortillas)and after I got home and checked my reciept (as I always do) and saw a good deal I figured I'd check my coupons to see how many more I could go back and get more...only to realize the coupon had expired by about oh 1 1/2 weeks. The next time I was in the store, I asked the store manager about expired coupons. He said that they give a 2 week leeway on dated coupons. I told him I asked because I had mistakenly used an expired coupon and the register didn't beep. I also told him I was an avid couponer but didn't always get to the store before the coupons I wanted to use expired. He said no problem and if I ever had a problem using an expired coupon to let him know. And needless to say I have never had a problem using expired coupons even cats or free item coupons.
I have heard from other gals in the boards that their Kroger stores will also take expireds up to 2 weeks.
Of course, every store/store manager is different.

My Kings will accept expired coupons.. No problems. Now I don't know 'how' expired they will take them.. usually mine are within that same week.
