FYI A little info about Jewel

I am still new to all of this but reading everything in here really has helped and keeps me more organized. I went to Jewel yesterday because they had post cereal for 1.49 a box and if I bought at least 4(I got 8) I would get a 3.00 catalina coupon. I wanted to purchase crest pro health toothpaste because I registered my preferred card on line using the avenu and there was a special for a 1.25 off limit 2. I had 2 1.50 coupons for this item too. When I checked out it didnt take it off and she said there was nothing they could do so I told her I wouldnt buy it because they are 4.49 each and I could get a better deal at walmart. After I paid for my groceries I took the toothpaste and went to the self check out and sure enough when I scanned it the 1.25 came off each one and I used all my coupons and ended paying .50 each. To make a long story short lol if it doesnt work at a regular register try the self check out, the only annoying issue with that is someone has to come over and scan each coupon you cant do it yourself but it was worth it.

Great job! I bet they didn't take at the "cashier" register because the avenu coupons are manufacture coupons loaded onto your Jewel card. (The new "digital couponing" fad). It picked up that you were trying to "double dip". When using the self-serve lanes, I always scan my coupons first THEN scan my card. Sounds like that's what you may have done too!

Good for you to think of going to self-check out!
Self-check out is the way to go! I feel WAY less stressed in the self-check out, even if there are people in line behind me.
