Apply to be our Jewel-Osco forum moderator

As Hot Coupon World undergoes our forum reorganization project mentioned here, we’re hoping to find moderators for each of our unmoderated store forums, including our Jewel-Osco forum.

Moderator’s responsibilities for our Jewel-Osco forum include the following duties:

• Making sure the deals are posted every week
• Keeping the forum organized and clean by editing titles, thread prefixes, post icons, merging, or moving posts and threads, as necessary to the forum easier to navigate.
• Posting and/or maintaining relevant FAQ's, and store policies.
• Watching the threads and posts for unethical use of coupons or other violations of our Terms of Service, and issuing warnings or infractions as necessary.
• Acting as a liaison between the members and the store. If a question is asked that needs an answer, a moderator will attempt to contact corporate to find out the answer.
• Taking care of reported posts, as they are reported by members.
• Watching for spammers and banning them via the infraction system when they appear.
• And most importantly, being available to help our members with questions and help provide them with the information they are looking for.

Requirements for applying for the position of our Jewel-Osco Mod are as follows:

• You must be a registered member of Hot Coupon World for a minimum of 2 months
• You must be an active poster in the Jewel-Osco forum.
• You must be willing to fill out the Hot Coupon World moderator agreement.

While we are searching for a moderator, I would like to ask for all our Jewel-Osco forum members to continue helping to keep the forum running smoothly by posting any deals that you find and by reporting a post whenever there's anything that needs a moderator's attention and the super mods/admin will take care of it.

Aw, gee - they closed down all of our Jewel stores a few years ago here, and the nearest one is like 40 minutes away so I dont keep up with the deals there any more :( I hope you find someone super awesome for the position!

I use to be the Mod about two-three years ago for the Jewel form and it's simple to type up the ad/scan. Matching up the coupons was a little harder at some times but not always. What I found was that after completing the work, I wasn't getting posters on the threads. I think perhaps they may have been going to other boards. I was going though some tough times before and was unable to get up as a Mod as much as I wanted to and had to step down. It was fun though and I enjoyed it. This is my first post in over two year. I've come back to the board because I'm running out of my stockpile supplies from over the past two - three years and need to start shopping again. Good Luck finding someone.

So, how long would you say you spent on moderation? Including the write ups and match ups and the cleaning up threads and monitoring?
