    QUESTION Catalina policy

Hi - which price is used to accumulate the $25 for a $10 catalina. I have read 2 different answers. I was told that the Jewel I go to goes by the sale price (the actual price I pay).... So if ketchup is $1.89 regular price and on sale for $1 - the $1 goes towards the $25.

However, I was also told you by the regular price at $1.89 towards the $25.

    Which is true??

It really is the non-PC price. Scan it at self-check before your card and THAT counts towards your total. But good luck explaining that to customer service! Almost all of us use these prices with no trouble. Be sure to deduct the tax from the amount on the screen though to be sure you hit $25 before tax!!

I think we should make a "Read Me First" section here that explains how Jewel catalina deals work. It seems the question comes up each time there is a catalina deal and someone has to explain the shelf price/pre-PC savings price/sale price thing.
I am a SAHMama to two little boys. We are fairly new to the Chicago area. I stick mostly to the Jewel and Dominick's in the Morton Grove/Niles area.

Even if we do, people will still ask there's always one soul willing to answer.

so far, it has been non pc price for catalinas, and pc price for 'instant' deals. You never know when they might change it.
remember that OSCO items ring up sale price without PC, so reg price does not count for those items
