HOT Can't use GC coupon with prescriptions!

I don't generally shop at Jewel since they are so expensive (former disgruntled employee here...haha) but when I get a GC we do. Well, hubby took his prescription there with a CVS coupon and they said they will not honor them during the "buy 5 scripts get a 10% coupon OYNO" which really stinks. That coupon would save me nothing. So now we're taking his script to Dominick's this month (super mega expensive compared to Jewel) since they are stinkers. This really turns me off of Jewel, but I can't really complain or say I won't shop there because I don't shop there.

That happened to me too, but then I found out that KMart by me will take them :) I don't really like KMart, but I if I can get a gift card, then they won me over :)

I heard Kmart will only give you a GC up to the price of your script (co-pay) so I would get $8. not worth it! I took my coupn across the street to Dominicks. Super expensive, but free is free....

Target made me mad once over a prescription price, I wanted them to match the price I was getting at walmart & walgreens and they wouldn't do it.

So now I have my scripts called into 'my' target. When I am ready for them, I call my CVS and have them transfered there. Then I get my giftcard and a little part of me thinks that Target might keep track of customers who transfer their scrips somewhere else, I just wish that they would ask me why!

If you want the GC for groceries, could you try Meijer, Food4Less, Super Wal-mart?

Hmmm By me, in SW Chicago area, the only one of those we have is Food4Less and I did not know that they have a pharmacy, but I am going there today (don't usually shop there) for the 10/$10 Lysol wipes, cheese bricks and waffles, so I can check to be sure. ALSO regular Walmart by me does not take other Rx coupons. Meijers....I only wish we had that by us. That place is awesome. I went to Meijers all the time in Michigan. I miss their generic frozen soft pretzyls! They were way better than the name brand. More like sour dough flavored.

My KMart in Oak Lawn,IL gave me the whole $30 and $25 gift cards :) I wonder why they chose the $ of the copay (which is sometimes higher or lower for me depending on the Rx) since you can not use the Rx coupon for the copay.

So....can you have all the Rx's called into Target by the Dr., let them sit there and never fill them at Target, then "transfer" to another store and use the coupon that is only good for transfer Rx's and the coupon is not for "new" Rx's. That would be really cool because my Target customer service for coupon stinks!!! I am not shopping there anymore until I have time to write corporate and get their policies in wrting because my local Target is doing a lot against policies, making me and other mom's I know not want to go there anymore. We used to be happy we had a new Target in town. Oh well, we also have KMart, Walmart, etc. etc.

    I do it every time

I too am in SW Chicago, near Shorewood though. I didn't know that Walmart wouldn't match the coupon, sorry! I thought that everyone matched those... Stick with Dominicks then, so long as they will match it. Just shop the sale only with coupons, then they are affordable.

Meijer maxes them out at $10, no matter what your coupon says, unless it is their coupon. I just transfer back and forth from CVS to the grocery store.
