Below you will find the answers to some of Jewel Osco’s FAQ’s

Does Jewel require a loyalty card for sales?
Yes, if you wish to receive the sale price you must sign up for a Jewel Preferred Card at the Customer Service Desk or Online Here Remember to enter your Jewel card information at Upromise for additional further bonuses.


Does Jewel Accept Expired Coupons?
Many of the Jewel locations will accept expired coupons. It’s recommended that you call your local Jewel Osco location(s) and ask to speak with a manager to get your stores coupon policy. Find your Local Jewel Osco Location.


How Long after an expiration date will Jewel accept Expired Coupons? Expired Coupon Limitations have been successfully reported going back many years with out a problem. Again, I would check with you local Jewel location and manager to see what the expiration date limitations are at your location.

Does Jewel Accept Internet Printed Coupon?
Many Jewel locations will accept internet printed coupons in either Black and White or Color. It’s recommended that you call or either speak with local Jewel Osco manager to get your stores Internet Printed coupon policy.
*Some Jewel locations will not accept internet printed coupons if the coupon is for a free product.
*Some Jewel locations will not accept internet printed coupons at all.


Does Jewel Double Coupons?
Jewel will not Double or Triple any coupons at any time.

What is the Avenu?

Can I combine Avenu Discounts with Coupons?
Absolutely! One day the Avenu gave me $1.25 off any McCain frozen potato product. McCain frozen potato products were on sale for $2 each that week. I also had a $1 off coupon for these products resulting in a net profit of $0.25 per product purchased.


When do my Avenu Discounts Expire?
They expire on midnight the day you print them unless you extend them. They may be extended to last an additional 2 days allowing you to both get your coupons ready. However, if you meet your household limit the offer will not be extended.

What is are Electronic Coupons?
Electronic Coupons are coupons that Jewel Osco issues without having to clip any coupons. These coupons are deducted off your grocery bill at check out.


Where can I check to see my Electronic Coupons?
Go Here to check you Electronic Coupon Offers. You will find that your Electronic Coupon Offers are posted just below your Avenu Savings.

Nope, Avenu offers are NOT good only one day until midnight. They may be extended to last an additional 2 days allowing you to both get your coupons ready and use the per hh 3 times (once each day) as opposed to once.

Oh, and LOTS of Jewels do NOT accept expireds...it is their policy not to check the dates in select midwest areas, but they are not to accept them if they notice them. This will be at the discretion of your store's CSM.

Whenever I print my Avenu deals they always read "good until midnight on the day printed".

Can you explain how they can be extended? Does the customer have to ask at the CS desk?

You can extend them online ... on the left side of the page, the bottom link says "extend your avenu offers". This will extend your offers for 2 days. BUT if you meet your household limit, that offer will not be extended. All other limits are per day, so they will be extended. I don't know what happens to the offer if a household limit is not met ... I always meet my limit in one visit!

The offers that are per hh don't always disappear...most times they are good for all 3 days. It has been recent that they are disappearing. Maybe a new change, but is not with EVERY per HH offer. So far, most times, I get 3 days to use the limit of 3 per HH.

What is the policy on using a MFC on items that are B1G1F?

Is it allowed to use a MFC on the free item?

I have used MFC's on items with this offer, and have had no problem. There fore I thought it was okay. But when I went to redeem my raincheck for fischer nuts @ $3.15 each with a B1G1F offer, the cashier gave me back one of the two Q's that I gave to him.

This one will take some looking into. LilMs'Mom, are you willing to make another call to a Jewel manager? I'm not sure if I could even ask the question properly, but I'll give it a try if no one else steps up to the plate.

I think this may be another one of those 'YMMV' things. I've done it without a problem at my Jewel, but have read where others aren't allowed.

I'm willing to call to find out for sure. I'm thinking I'll call corporate rather than my Jewel manager. I had to 'educate' him on some of the coupon policies ... like "Yes, sir, you DO accept internet printed coupons. See, on this coupon where it says 'redeem at your local Jewel-Osco'? I got this off your stores website which directs us to smartsource.com." LOL I also don't want to 'alert' them to stop doing it by raising any flags and ruin what I've got going. KWIM?

Give me a couple of days though. I'll call today sometime after taking DD to the doc, and then it may take a couple of days to hear back.
