General Mills 10 for $10 deal

I didn't see this posted but in today's ad they had a deal that I think is for this entire week for general mills products, cereals, granola bars and fruit snacks mostly. At the store they are any of the 10 for $20 items but when you pay at the register everything goes down to 10 for $10 the catch is you have to buy in multiples of 10. I bought the following -
5 boxes Fruity Cheerios
2 boxes strawberry chex cereal
4 boxes Fiber one bars
4 boxes stackerz fruit snacks
2 boxes fruit roll ups
3 boxes curves bars

I had some great expired and non expired coupons for everything above either .40 - .75 off so I was getting cereal for .30/box! I also had to buy formula and thought I would try getting my total before coupons up to $80 so I could use a $6 off $80 I got in the mail, but b/c of the way this deal worked they wouldn't take that coupon b/c it made my total look like it was $60. But I did great I got all of that plus some baby food, barber chicken kievs (bogo), lean cuisine, a .50 budget gourmet and similac alimentum formula. All for about what it would have cost me for just the can of formula. I was thrilled!

I also got a catalina for .50 off gas for spending $50 or more.

Sometimes I need things spelled out for me precisely. So, here is one way this deal can work if you have only the Fiber One bars and Cinnamon Toast Crunch on your Avenu.

2 CTC
6 Other products

If you use a $0.50 coupon on each item, you will have $2 overage on the Avenu items and your other items will cost $3, so your total out of pocket will be $1 for all 10 items.

If you have higher or lower value coupons, adjust as needed, but the $0.50/1 or $1/2 are pretty common.

I didn't do as well as some. I also only got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch on my avenu. But thanks to my super coupon coach I had, I and my family am glad of what I came home with. 20 products for 10.00 out of pocket...about 50 cents each. Yea!

I have been doing this deal all week. I am taking pics each time I come home from a shopping trip. At the end of the deal, I am going to make one Blog entry!! I am sooo happy about this deal. My husband is going crazy at all that I am bringing home, but I am saving soo much money already!! I'm trying to get him to really see the value of this deal(which he should know by now as I have been doing this for 10yrs now!!!

I ended up with 56 boxes of cereal, 12 boxes of PopSecret, 4 boxes of milk and cereal bars and 18 boxes of granola bars for less than $5!!!!!!!!!
