Actually, it's not 20% on everything. It's only 10% on furniture and small appliances.

Tommy Bahama gives you the clothes to wear for work for free. New free clothes every season. Probably one of the best perks of working there part-time (and the 50% discount good for you and anybody you want is nice, too).

Penney's employee discount is 20%. For all employees. 25% if you are an All-Star.
It is one of their best perks. 20% off regular, sale and clearance prices.
There are employee shopping days also. When you get an extra discount on those days. Happens to be end of summer, before Christmas and around Easter.
Also some stores have double discount days. For example, salon you get 15% off but if your hair is done on a Monday or Tuesday another 15%.
Also note, you CAN use your employee discount on the coupon days. Like 10 off 50. Then your discount on top of that.
There are a lot of stores that do not let you have a discount on either sale or clearance merchandise; here you can.
Do not be upset about not having that extra 40% on clothes you wear to work.
Penney's has a lot of Buy 1 Get another at $1 and now you can add your discount on that! A much better shopping deal.
Last note. A lot of people can not deal with working with all these sale dates! To easy to spend all their money before they receive a paycheck.

When they had the 40% off stuff you could wear to work it was only on regular priced items and not much at Penney's is ever regular price lol. They always have sale.

Dh works at the wearhouse and I LOVE the Penney discount... we went this weekend and bough DS some shoes for school, he is 13 ( !!).lol so only certain shoes are a go.. well we bought Vans they are regular $60.00 were on sale for $49.xx had a $15 GC for a birthday ( Penneys if you have a CC with them sends a GC for your B-day) had a %15 Cp for whatever sale it was and then employee discount and we spend $24.xx on the shoes.. I thought that was a great deal.. I love to buy stuff there but it has to be on sale, I bought the babies crib online, waited for free shipping, and a sale and the discount and $10.00 OFF Cp, saved me over $300 on a crib and we paid like $150....lol..
