Anyone bought furniture at jcp?

while trying to use up my $10/10's i came across a couch i think i just have to have. so my ? is has anyone bought furniture there before? when's the best time to buy? i think the employee said something about 10% off if i open a credit card but i can't do that....tia!

I got a solid wood coffee table for $50 and a beautiful cherry desk and matching chair for like $200. I don't know when the best time to buy is though. I do suggest you turn over all of the price tags though. If it's the last one and a great deal people will turn the tags over so they can get the deal for themselves. Just go once a week and watch the price tags!! I have had great luck!!

I bought a leather couch & chair about 8 years ago and we love it. My sister bought a couch and had some small problem with it (something w/ the back of the couch). JCP had a guarantee on the furniture (I am not sure if they still do). They replaced her couch with a nicer one.

Also, JCP has those surveys you can take to receive 15% off. I don't know if they exclude furniture. We were also able to negotiate with our salesperson-like buying a car.

I bought a bunch of stuff there my last shopping trip was the baby crib, I do have to say DH is an employee and we get addl. discount but I always shop when it is free shipping to the store.. we did that with the baby crib when it was on sale, plus free shipping to the store and then Dh % off we save over $300; shipping would have been $100 itselfe, I think that is the best time to buy if you can p/u at the store and save the shipping...
