FYI Where to donate - Georgia

I would like to get a list going of where we can donate new, unused items in Georgia. Please post your additions/corrections in this thread, and I'll copy them into the master list. Please include this information:
    • Name of charity
    • Location/contact information, including website
    • What items they accept (e.g. food, toiletries, household supplies, medicine, blood glucose monitors)
    • How to donate (e.g. drop off anytime, drop off during certain hours, call for pickup)
    =-=-=-=

Google map of these charity locations.
    Key to map:
yellow milk and apple = accept food only
blue pointer = accept more than just food, but don't take animal food
green person and horse = accept animal food/supplies in addition to other donations

Anyone know where in Savannah I can donate blood glucose monitors? I moved here in the summer, and all my One Touch Minis are taking up closet space! LOL!

I donated mine to the local Health Dept. They were happy to get them for low income familes who really need them.

School supplies I carried to the library for childrens projects.

Our Church has a food pantry donated LOTS of things there. We are just starting H&B, mothers enjoy the make-up and other things that can't afford.

I'm so happy. Today I discovered that Southern Hope Humane Society/Fulton County Animal Services has a satellite adoption center in Roswell that takes pet food/supplies donations. The best part is that the center is just a stone's throw from NFCC where I do my people-stuff donations.

FYI Re: Where to donate - Georgia

Is there any where near Marietta Ga to donate? The dentist office where I work is looking to drop off some food from a food drive we've done. Any ideas?
