I'd try craig's list. most of that won't consignment well because it's not name brand enough. You need things like gymboree or the children's place or the Gap for them to really want it generally (consignment)
The little one has already outgrown the newborn clothes and some of the 0-3 month clothes too, so he has only worn once, some not at all (we recv'd a lot of clothes at the shower).
None of it is designer, it's mostly Carter, Circo, Gerber onsies, Kaola or babies r us. It's all in great shape, no stains, tears, etc.
Should I consign it, try to sell it on CL or do thredup? I started an account with thredup, but looking it over,it looks like I can only trade boxes, no actual money is made. Cubby has enough clothes in each size until he's 18 months old (I told ya! We got a lot of clothes!!). I also have some receiving blankets that we never used either, he got too big for them too fast.
Thoughts, ideas?
Thanks ladies!

I had some of those brands and did consignment. The shop that I used would pay a small amount of cash back or you could trade for a larger dollar amount of merchandise. We just got merchandise in larger sizes.
I'm going to call a few consignment shops tomorrow and see if it's worth it. Otherwise I'll take some pics and post them Craigslist. I know I'm not going to make a million bucks, but I'd like to make $20 or so to buy a ton of wipes!

I used to work in a consignment shop and I've done a ton of reselling my little guys' stuff.
First, the sizes and product you're describing--they don't resell anywhere. First, because as most of us know, you get tons of gifts in that size range and don't usually need to buy anything. And chances are, if it's your first baby, people don't want to do resale for the first one. It's not till the second baby that we really smarten up and do resale, lol.
Second, with those teeny tiny sizes, the babies don't ruin them like they do when they're 3 years old. So moms have a LOT more to resell, therefore there's a LOT more available in that market. I'd get inquiries all the time at the consignment shop about why we didn't have more in 2T-4T. Because kids are harder on clothes at that age, and moms have less decent stuff to resell. We didn't even take anything under the 12m size at my shop, because it just never sold.
If you do go the consignment route, try Once Upon a Child or one of those places that gives you cash on the spot. You may not get as much as you had planned, but seriously, just be glad that you sold it.
You can try all the other venues--craigslist, thred up, etc. but I wouldn't expect much. I mean, thredup is ALWAYS running deals on the itty bitty sizes--because that market is flooded, kwim.
the closest once upon a child is about 50 miles away :( I'm not expecting TONS of money, hell, I'd settle for $20!
I may just pack it all in a space bag, and wait for the local mommy swap in November. I don't really want to, but I'd rather trade it for newer clothes for the kiddo, which by then, we'll need. I received enough clothes to last him until he's 9-10 months old.

I've resold both of my DD's outgrown clothing to Once Upon a Child and have had few things rejected. I've had dozens of items from the brands you listed, and that didn't seem to matter (obviously, better brands net better prices, but I have gotten offers for every brand I have brought in). I haven't had any issues selling newborn sizes either- but we live in a nice suburb type area and it's pretty busy. The only things that have been rejected was an item or two with spots that I missed or when I've taken in an obviously 2 piece outfit only bringing one of the pieces. And they dont like just onesies...I was told theyre harder to sell. From my experience, when in doubt I just take it in. The worst they can do is pass on an item. Everythimg that they don't buy, I give to my cousin for her daughter.

In my humble opinion:
1. OUAC - is great to buy and horrible to sell, I had an IKEA bag full of stuff and they offered me 20.00
2. Kids only consignment sales are time consuming but you get the highest prices. True there is a a lot there in small sizes but boy is harder to get than girl, and most of the sales invite a lot of new moms who will be buying the small sizes.
3. I HATE craigslist! People are constantly no shows they dont read the ads and it is just irritating.
4. eBay is usually pretty consistant. I sold 6 NB outfits for 10.00 on eBay. I just grouped them together, took one picture and sold it off. That was an easy option for me.
I returned a lot of the new clothes that I got at showers and used the "credit" to buy some of the bigger stuff toddler car seat, safety stuff, diapers and formula.

Personally, I would go through and pick out the nicest stuff and take it to a consignment shop. For everything else, including the items they refused--I would have a yard sale and sell it all for a quarter a piece. I do that twice a year when our neighborhood has a yard sale weekend. Almost all of my kids old clothes sell. People will buy almost anything for a quarter--some of it's REALLY nice, some really old and worn, but it's all a quarter. We have repeat customers sale after sale.
If you really want to get rid of stuff, that's what I would do.

I guess next year I'll have to try a quarter. This year, I did $0.50 a piece or 3 for $1, and nothing sold.
And I'd still rather just walk into OUAC and walk out with $20, rather than have to photograph it, list it on ebay, wait.....wait for payment, ship it and so on. Ebay is getting to be too much of a hassle for me these days.
