I "liked" Stamp Out Hunger on FB last year so I knew about it today. I also got a postcard in the mail on Wednesday as well. Our household placed items out by the mailbox. =)

They didn't send out postcards this year in my area. :( I hope there was enough publicity without them. We saw only one bag hanging on a mailbox on our way to the post office. But the donation box inside the post office was almost full of bags when we got there. And then we filled it up the rest of the way. :)

Just finished at the food pantry. We got 6 truck loads of food. We should have enough of most stuff for the next year. We sorted and filled the shelves with 3 truck loads. The other 3 are in a storage shed until we can get to it. I would say our zip code did real good. Lots of great stuff was donated like peanut butter, pasta, rice, tuna and assorted other things. I'm pooped.

I've been wondering if she got mine. My dogs barked & barked around 2pm, so I figured it was her getting the food, but I got no mail. Then around 5pm, I got mail. I got a sick feeling that someone drove around taking food off of porches today. But maybe she just did it differently this year since she does walk her route.

Sometimes they have volunteers who pick up the food instead of the mail carriers, especially for those who walk their routes.

This is one of the pantries that we donate to all year and I help them every Tuesday and Friday. I help pull the food for the folks and we distribute it in a parking lot. The actual pantry location is not made to the general public because it's in a house that is empty except for the pantry.
