I always start by checking Ebay to see what anything similar is going for......
I have a bunch of dolls from my deceased mother. All porcelain, in original boxes and most have papers.
As a military wife I hate to haul them around every move and have been thinking about selling them. After all my mother saved them for me to be able to sell one day.
I have a Repunzel, and Sleeping beauty doll, two clowns that were sold separately but are a pair and some other miscellaneous dolls.
But my big ticket item would be the Princess Diana doll In her wedding gown, crown, and jewelry and if I'm not mistaken the royal engagement ring that is now on Princess Kate.
I have no idea what I should sell them for or where would be the best place. I have never been interested in dolls or collecting them so I dont know where to start. Any info will help.
Thanks!

I'm afraid they really aren't worth much of anything. There are tons of those mass-produced porcelain types out there. Those companies suckered in a lot of folks with their "certificates of authenticity" and "collectable" ads. They won't even sell on Ebay for $5. You can check on Ebay, but I'll bet you'll be highly disappointed.
There may be some folks out there interested in them, but for the "serious" doll collector, they are looking for antiques, and these are not. I am/have been a doll collector, mostly antique bisque and some composition.
In a yard sale, I wouldn't pay any more than $5 for one. These are breakable, granted, but you could also donate them to some childrens charity or even a seniors home. Some of the "old ladies" may be happy to have a "baby" to cuddle.
very cheap and then you will have problems selling them..most people cant pay much for them now due to to much job loss please those kinds of things just dont resale well...i could be wrong tho

Try searching ebay. You can search and then click advanced search - and click 'completed auctions' or something like that so you can actually see what it sold for.
Ditto to what they said. And just do internet searches on your items. You may find a club or something else to get a better idea.
