Re: What items do or do not sell well at your yard sale?
We live in a mobile home park, and they have very strict rules here. We are allowed only one yard sale per year, in September. And it has to be at the park office parking lot, not your own yard. It's a community yard sale. You have to bring your own tables, set up and take it all down in one day.
I had lots of baby clothes last year, some sold, not much. I had a package of diapers, never opened, that I thought would sell, and no takers.
Stuff that sold really fast: bodywash, deodorant, etc. that I got for FREE and sold for $1-$2. I had juice boxes and soda and sold those for .50 each, and Keebler snack crackers single packs, and individual fruit snacks, and those went quick. I bought bags of miniature chocolate bars, and sold them for a nickel each. (All the food items I got for free or almost free with coupons.)
We were the only booth that sold snacks and drinks, and some of the other sellers were coming to our table to buy food!
Someone mentioned "repackaging items" to make them sell. Adult items don't sell well, I agree. In our town, high school students are required to wear uniforms. (Navy, black or khaki pants, and blue, white or maroon collared shirts). I put slacks and collared shirts together and put up a sign "uniform wear", and had lots of lookers and some sold. If I had just put the shirts and pants out, they might not have sold.

Re: What items do or do not sell well at your yard sale?
Most people came to my garage sale wanting to buy tools.
I don't have any to sell.
Clothing never sold, nor did knick knacks.
People will buy household items like coffee makers, kitchen gadgets, anything useful.
