    Default multi-day yard sales

I passed a sign today for a yard sale that is running Thur/Fri/Sat. I would never go to a multi-day yard sale, except on the first day. I would just assume that anything decent to be had would be gone.

I would never hold a multi-day yard sale. It would be a hassle. Every other year, my neighborhood does a yard sale, 8-2 on a Saturday. That's it. I can't even imagine being camped out in my driveway for 3 days.

Would you go to a multi-day yard sale?

I've been to several multi day's....very common here, and yes you can still find deals after day 1. If you're looking for antiques or something, day 2 won't work. But yes, deals after day 1 are possible. Would I have one...no...I can barely make myself do 1 4 hour sale :)
    If it isn't free.....it isn't for me!

We have 3 day sales here. Usually Thurs, Fri, and Sat. We make money on every day.

I'm with PP, one 1/2 day sale is my cup of tea. By 11 or 12 on that one day, the sales have slowed to a drip or ceased altogether.

Yes, I've been to them, and have done them.
Sometimes, with a multi-day yardsale people bring out other stuff on the subsequent days. brought from storage sheds and relatives...whatever.
And some organizations will throw them and get donations thru the duration.
And, I've done some myself where I've brought "new" stuff out the last day or so.

Also, if you've been eyeing up a particular item you may want to stop back and make an offer close to the end of the last day...you might get it cheaper.

I've had two garage sales. One was a 2-day and I made as much the second day as the first.

I've only done one multi-day sale and it was barely that! lol The first day we ran long, but made a good bit. The second day was really just a last ditch effort in the morning to unload a bit more. I didn't plan on the second day, just thought I'd try. I hit the jackpot on one fellow looking for DVD's and video games. I think I made from him half of what I did the first day total! lol

What aggrivates me, is the lazy people who don't take their signs down after the yard sales.

It sucks to go looking for one that is already gone by days or weeks.

I think it is regional...where I live no one would have a yard sale on a thursday, but a two day friday-saturday yard sale it the norm. And you never see a yard sale on Sunday. However where I used to live in CA Saturday-Sunday was the normal days to go yard saling...

ITA on the old signs...they just are a waste of time and a waste of gas!

I also don't like the old signs. It just starts to look tacky after a while with a bunch of old sighns hanging up all over the place.
