It's against the law to return blood glucose meters in most states...I'd ask your Mgr if he was sure he was even allowed to take them back!

Technically when you purchase the meter...they are supposed to write a number on the coupon for that exact meter. That is possibly how they knew it was returned.

The manager was not accusing me of anything but this is a very rural area so I am sure they have a good idea that I am the "coupon lady" and all of them know what I watch for and buy. He was very very nice. I just wanted to make for sure we keep getting these good deals so I can buy a lot of good stuff from Walgreens. Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the info! I would have never thought of this. I donated some meters a few months ago and have a large stack again to donate. I will be sure to mark out the UPC codes too!
