I don't want to scare people away with my prices but I need to make a little money. Any and all help is very much appreciated. I'm going to try and get the yardsale together for October 16th (the only saturday morning that my son doesn't have a football game until November).[/QUOTE]

In my opinion, your prices are a little too low. I usually go to walmart and target and check out the prices there that week and go with half of those. I normally do my sales over 2 weekends (fri and sat) and come out with an average of $2k. I make most of the money on that first saturday since i have the most items at that time. Are you in an area that is easily accessable? I'm right off a main street so very easy to get to. Use neon colored signage and make them all the same color, that way people won't ask you if there's another one going on. And when making the signs, make sure you use big block letters. DON'T use pen!

    Good Luck!

I can not stress enough the importance of signage to a sale - do not let your kids doodle them, block letters with address and date.

Also advertise on the local craigslist. That is what I use to plan my weekend shopping.

Please teach me - how did you get sensodyne so cheap - that is all I use and I am lucky!!! to get it for $3.00 a tube - i am thinking about having you ship to me!

I actually got the sensodyne as a EB deal at CVS. It's one of those stand up canister type toothpastes. I only have 1 can :(

99 - ok good, I think i caught that deal but with CVS and ECB it is pretty hard to stockpile. Good luck with your sale.

Hi everybody, I tried to post this yesterday, but I obviously don't know what I'm doing yet. Lol! Anyway, I need some help with pricing for a sale. My freezer door got left open & I lost ALL of my frozen food I need to make some money to restock my freezer! My 2 teenage boys don't think they can live on tuna forever. Lol
I don't have a huge stockpile, but here are some of the things I have:

    Dawn hand renewal 19oz. ($2.99 @GE)---------$1.00?
    Airwick freshmatic ultra imotion ($13.99 @ RA)-------$4.00/$5.00?
    " " compact " ($9.99 @ RA)------$2.50/$3.00?
    Nivea lip balm ($2.99 @ RA)------------$1.00?
    Listerine pocketmist ($3.?? @ GE)------$1.00?
    Listerine pocketpaks 3pk. 72 strips ($3-$4)---$1.00?
    John Frieda stylers ($6.99 @ WAG)--------$1.50?
    Softsoap handsoap pump ($1.99 @ GE)-------.75
    Softsoap handsoap refill 28oz. ($3.99 @ GE)----$2.00?
Glade scented oil candle w/glass holder ($2.98 @ walmart)---?
    Glade scented oil warmer refill----------?
Glade jar candle ($2.98 @ walmart)-------?

I'm going to mark my "expensive" shamp/cond/body wash---$1.50
    deodorants---.75 & $1.00

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!
